Cerebus Archive Number 7: FLIGHT (issue #9)

CEREBUS No.159 (June, 1992)
FLIGHT issue #9

"It was, for me, a personally monumental moment
in the creation of the 6,000-page graphic novel. K'cor, the Hermit
King of Imesh revisited: separated from his first appearance in issue 9
by 150 issues. It was now possible to encompass
half the totality of the project within the framework
of the contextual narrative timeline. Not
something easily explained or understood."

Why does Dave think this is "Not something easily explained or understood,"?

Well, I don't get it.

More seriously, I think what Dave is saying is that while he can tell us he was at this point, unless you're the person who actually got to this point and achieved this, you can't really understand what it (ahem) felt like to get there and accomplish that.

I think.
