Hey, look: GERHARD!

Hi, Everybody!

There's a Indiegogo live if you missed the Kickstarter for the birthday card.

The remastered Volume 1, digitally for $9.99.

No word on the postcard Kickstarter, or a Star code for the remastered Jaka's Story, but I'll add 'em to the list when I get 'em!

WHAT?!? A COMICS-related post on AMOC? Hope this doesn't become a trend or anything! This post alone is worth more the last fifty Sunday posts combined. Always great to see what Gerhard is up to, since it's usually a million times more interesting than anything Dave has done in the last ten years.

I'm always happy to see comic book related entries here as well, but consider this Other Anonymous: Your soul is important. Because the soul is who you are. It is your deepest core of consciousness. Consciousness of soul is the door to consciousness of God, the absolute. Everything in creation changes and passes away, but you, the soul, live forever. Know the soul-self, and everything else will become clear to you.

One day a week on this blog is devoted to this issue. It isn't a lot to ask.

"It isn't a lot to ask".

It's a lot to ask to have the rest of us take anonymous comments seriously. I miss the days when Tim strictly forbade anonymous comments. This is not a shot at Matt, as Tim changed that policy and Matt maintains/honors it. It's just hard to take anonymous comments seriously--at least the ones that contain whining or character attacks--because of their chickenshit nature.

Wow, Jeff S.'s whinging really caught on, huh? Call people cowards and claim you can't take them seriously, and you don't even have to address what they say.

Okay Damian, I'll play.

So the first anonymous poster's snarky comment was (essentially,) that a 23 year old article by Gerhard was (somehow,) MORE "comics-related" than anything else being posted (presumably including, ya know, ACTUAL posts discussing Cerebus, the COMICS series,).

I decided to edit my response by not only removing the vowels, but the consonants as well. Because, to put it as politely and succinctly as possible, it amounted to "Fuck you."

I don't get paid for this shit. I TRY to maintain a balance between "celebrating Cerebus" the series that ended FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, and keeping up with what Dave, (and when there's something to report, Gerhard) is up to. I also try to avoid just using stuff that's been posted about in the Cerebus Facebook Group, as I know there's a lot of crossover between here and there.

Plus, I have a life and a family and a job and shit going on that doesn't involve catering too random jag-offs on the internet.

So, sorry to "hurt" anonymous's ego, but I really don't give two tugs of a dead dog's cock about the opinions of somebody who doesn't even want to extend me the courtesy of signing their name to pithy bullshit comments.

If you don't like a post, fine. Check back tomorrow, they'll probably be something different. If you do like a post, hey by all means comment that you like it. But, ya know, maybe don't be a fucking douche when you do.

Matt D.: For someone who doesn't care, you sure do go on about it a lot. If you don't like a comment, ignore it or reply to it. Calling people names while declaring that you will refuse to address what they say is both juvenile and pointless.
