Cerebus Around the World and Web #29 by Oliver Simonsen

Hi, Everybody!

The Strange Death of Alex Raymond Fundraising Edition, if you'd like to get a copy of the book a year(? or more?) before it goes to press AND at the same time, fund Dave's California sales trip (rescheduled for whenever California opens for business), mail a check for fifty dollars American to :
AARDVARK-VANAHEIM Inc.
Box 1674 Stn. C
Kitchener ON N2G 4R2 CANADA
Or, go to cerebusdownloads.com (where you can still get "The Best Deal in Comics" all 16 volumes for $99 Canadian!) and click the one time donation button (there are three of them $1 $5 $10, click any of them, and adjust the quantity to $75 (or $80 if you're using the $10 one,) (the price is higher because cerebusdownloads.com uses Canadian monies...) Then send an email to eddiesdoar@gmail.com to let him know how you want your name spelled. This ends on May 31st

The Kickstarter for the Remastered Cerebus #1 (which is already funded, at this point more money means more extras.) Ten(?) days until the campaign ends. The most recent update:

We have decided to post a list of the on-offs from the Cerebus Archive that Dave Sim has generously offered. Unless otherwise noted, just 1 of each is available and everything is hand signed and in some cases numbered by Dave. We should also mention that a portion of the sales of these add-ons, Dave is donating to his local Waterloo Food bank. The Waverly Press is also donating a portion of these sales from to our local food bank. If you see something you want on this list, then send us a private message and we will build a custom tier package that includes your current pledge alongside the new add-on. Unfortunately Kickstarter does not offer a simpler option to add on individual items yourself, though we will bring this suggestion to their attention. Also note that Dave will be handling shipping of these Cerebus Archive add-ons directly, so they will arrive separately from the standard Kickstarter items.

We want everyone to have an equal chance to pick these up, but keep in mind that some of these items may sell out quickly.
Cerebus Archive #1 CGC slabbed 9.8 - $175
Cerebus Archive #2 CGC slabbed 9.6 - $150
Cerebus Archive #3 CGC slabbed 9.6 - $150
REMASTERED Cerebus TPB Reprinting 1-25 - $90 (2 available)
High Society French Language - Hardcover - $375
REMASTERED Church & State TPB - $80
Judenhass - $25
Low Society Comic - $50
Dave Sim's Collected Letters Volume 2 - $65 (3 available)
Cerebus Cover Art Treasury - $100
The manual add-ons that we are unveiling on Monday will all be unlimited and are being produced exclusively for this Cerebus No. 1 project, so those will be available to everyone.
A bit of eye candy (below). We received the proofs of the 11 x 17" poster and they are superb! Note that the final production posters will see the art cropped a bit differently (Cerebus will be larger) from these samples, but this is close to how they will look. We will post regular updates to share production proofs and samples of other items so you can all see first hand how everything is developing.
Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!

Dave and Ger art for sale. And GERHARD sez: "Looks like the original to me, as featured on my blog March 6th 2019: http://gerhardart.com/family-portrait-2/ -Ger"

And The Coronavirus Trilogy: CRISIS IN INFINITE QUARANTINE, BATVARK: CORONAVIRUS, SUPER CEREBUS VS COVID-19, and the fourth part from Free ComicBook Day: The League of Extraordinary Corona. And the Daily Cerebus in Hell? strips. Which have been written and assembled for you at no cost, so if you wanna maybe buy some High Society Red State buttons, or Blue State buttons that'd be great. Supplies are limited, when they're gone they're gone. And, word 'round the campfire is that Diamond is opening and shipping around May 20th, either way, Green Dante/Green Virgil is the next Cerebus in Hell issue to ship. And the "new kid" is The Amicable Spider-Vark.

[Whoa, Déjà vu...-Matt]
You will trip out when you see the enhanced version!

In light of there being a kickstarter for issue #1 and us attempting to adapt it - here is a look at our progress on a scene from that first issue. Like the hardcopy edition of The Times said "Finally a comic book movie that isn't as square as Marvel and DC!"

We are still working on the the "2D Lama Lotus psychedelic flower power scene" that follows

On a sidenote: the groovy 70s Cerebus kickstarter has been getting some free twitter love from Parallax Studios' animated liveaction hybrid film adaptation of the comic “To Meet the Faces You Meet" by Richard Corben and Jan Strnad from 1972 starring the voice of Patton Oswald! They are in a similar situation as us so returning the favor and spreading that 70s love - get down with their trailer and everything here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/parallaxstudio/to-meet-the-faces-you-meet
