"What I Learned" Part 2 (Dave's Weekly Update #339)

Hi, Everybody!

Heeeeeere's

Everybody say "Thanks Sean!" for the logo.

What I Learned by Christopher Woerner. (You're Welcome.)

The Strange Death of Alex Raymond Fundraising Edition, if you'd like to get a copy of the book a year(? or more?) before it goes to press AND at the same time, fund Dave's California sales trip (rescheduled for whenever California opens for business), mail a check for fifty dollars American to :
AARDVARK-VANAHEIM Inc.
Box 1674 Stn. C
Kitchener ON N2G 4R2 CANADA
Or, go to cerebusdownloads.com (where you can still get "The Best Deal in Comics" all 16 volumes for $99 Canadian!) and click the one time donation button (there are three of them $1 $5 $10, click any of them, and adjust the quantity to $75 (or $80 if you're using the $10 one,) (the price is higher because cerebusdownloads.com uses Canadian monies...) Then send an email to eddiesdoar@gmail.com to let him know how you want your name spelled. This ends on May 31st
And if you agree that a 9.4 slabbed copy of Cerebus #1 is insane to buy for EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!! You can back the Kickstarter for the Remastered Cerebus #1 (which is already funded, at this point more money means more extras.) Twenty-two days until the campaign ends. The most recent update:
Today we surpassed 300 backers, and can't express our gratitude enough!
We have added a few tiers with a limited number of proof copies of the 24 page "Standard" edition of Cerebus No.1. As with the "Expanded" edition proofs, these will be limited to only 50 numbered copies, and will release a few at a time every few days to give everyone a chance to get one.
We are working with Dave on some extra special packages that include rarities from the Cerebus Archive so stay tuned!
We originally planned to have some sort of Cerebus mini-comic as a stretch reward, and this idea has been split into 2 different books, the first of which is based on an idea suggested by one of you. Following in the dacedes old tradition of taking a sketchbook to a convention to collect drawings from your favorite artists, we have decided to make a Cerebus sketchbook. This will have a printed cover featuring Cerebus with high quality, blank interior pages. Now you can collect a book full of Cerebus drawings from your favorite artists, or create your very own one-of-a-kind Cerebus comic book! Be sure and send Dave copies of your books once you've filled up the pages!
We do want to offer a poster and currently exploring how to offer a signed and numbered version for those of you who would want one.

We welcome any suggestions, requests and feedback as we are all in this together, and want to make this Cerebus No. 1 campaign as interesting as possible!
Thank you again for your support!

And coming next week, Dave and Ger art for sale.

And The Coronavirus Trilogy: CRISIS IN INFINITE QUARANTINE, BATVARK: CORONAVIRUS, SUPER CEREBUS VS COVID-19, and the fourth part from Free ComicBook Day: The League of Extraordinary Corona. And the Daily Cerebus in Hell? strips. Which have been written and assembled for you at no cost, so if you wanna maybe buy some High Society Red State buttons, or Blue State buttons that'd be great. Supplies are limited, when they're gone they're gone. And, word 'round the campfire is that Diamond is opening and shipping around May 20th, either way, Green Dante/Green Virgil is the next Cerebus in Hell issue to ship.

Next Time: Aardvark Comment and Al Nickerson.

I didn't notice that I had typed "September 9" either until fairly recently. Great example of making a mistake.

Did you know it's not that difficult to change the book on Amazon so that now people who buy a copy won't be reminded of September 9, 2001? Dave will now be one of the few people with that information but don't worry, all the other typos are still present. Proofreading is a lot easier when your brain is working and I didn't have that option a few months ago.

Or, you could get me to proofread for you, since I have a proven track record with the Cerebus remastered volumes...
