For True Front-Facing Believers only. Dave seems truly determined to destroy any last vestiges of credibility clinging to him like toilet paper on his shoe.

Damian, this evening I picked up my copies of SPIDER-WHORE #1 at my LCS. During checkout the clerk was curious about what I had ordered for my PULLS file. When he saw SPIDER-WHORE he was surprised to see it. Knew only that it was related to CEREBUS by looking at the cover but relayed that he hadn’t seen CIH? stocked in the shelves.

Still, he was interested. So, on the spur of the moment I told him to pull a copy from my pile for himself. Anecdotal as that may be there’s still potential for new readers, I think.

On firmer ground I can tell you that sales to retailers are up from a year ago. If memory serves VARK WARS #1 (NOV. 2019) hit about 1900 units published. This month there are over 2400 copies of SPIDER-WHORE #1 available for purchase. To be fair, I have no way myself of knowing how many units are actually being SOLD of SPIDER-WHORE #1, let alone how many units of CEREBUS IN HELL? are being sold for that matter. And, of course the units produced pales in comparison to the height in demand for CEREBUS. Nevertheless, if the increase in units produced of CIH? is an indication, the audience for Dave and the rest of the CIH? Crew is growing, not shrinking.

Take care up there in The Dominion.

Cool story, bro. Take care down there in the leper colony.

Does anyone know the circulation figures for CiH? They used to be revealed here.

You can tell what the circulation of each issue of CIH? Is by looking at the numbers on the cover. If it says copy xxx of 2003 then there were 2003 total orders for that issue. The circulation went steadily down until Vark Wars sold well and it has gone up and down since but never as low as when Dave was calling each issue the rarest CIH? so far. Dave was thinking that the comic would go down in circulation until it was cancelled so he started the numbering on the covers to record the decline. Then everyone bought a Penis or two.

Diamond told Dave they’ll carry the book as long as he does it based on his track record. We have all the issues for 2021 done, barring a few tweaks, and Dave has issues written through May of 2022. Cerebus In Hell? is not going away anytime soon. It makes new fans one or two readers at a time. Swords of Cerebus in Hell? is coming soon and will reprint the entire series from the beginning and hopefully anyone that missed out can catch up. Dave is insistent that the new Swords will have nothing new in it at all. If you bought the original issues you won’t be missing anything. If you missed the early ones here they are warts and all.

Thanks for the info Birdsong. Here’s to more anecdotal moments into the foreseeable future! Happy Thanksgiving!

Damian, looks like the proof is in the pudding there. You could buy issues of CIH? yourself in order to chart circulation.

If you should deem that as too intolerable to countenance you could pull a Cerebus #1 from the shelf, glimpse the FRONT COVER to find out what circulation is for that month, before returning it to the shelf for some other customer to enjoy.

No one would be the wiser if you did that.

However, If you should not be able to find any Cerebus #1s in your neck of the Great White North then ask the clerk to order you a copy this weekend, if possible. You have until Sunday to either bug a clerk for some PENIS (BATVARK XXXXX #1 2ND PRINTING, DIA Product Code NOV200974) or to set aside the Early Bird Special for 2021 (CIH? PREVIEW 2021 #1, DIA Product Code NOV200975).

It’s your money though. I cannot tell you what you ought to do with it.

Any-who, thanks again for the well wishes.

Upon reflection, I've deleted my comment above. These two individuals already know I have no respect for them and think they're bad human beings, so why retread that? Have as happy a holiday weekend as possible under the circumstances, colonials!

I appreciate your first sentence. Alas, I don't require well-wishes from your imaginary friends, and it is not Thanksgiving in my country. But I suppose well-wishes are kindly meant.
