Oliver Simonsen:

Cartoon Brew article: "Animation creators are generally lucky to own a small percentage of their show and characters. A group of young production companies wants to change that."

of which Variety gives a favorable review: “Twin Peaks-y in its surreal flourishes, labyrinthine structure and droll-to-broad humor, albeit with a lighter heart of darkness..." "...Moore fans will revel in his Byzantine plotting, noirish tropes and other signature elements."

By Justin Christensen: a TMNT/Cerebus piece using only natural wood colors - cut out with a "scroll saw" and put together like a jigsaw puzzle. The black lines are gaps showing a dark background layer behind the foreground layer.

Regency Edition review: "I hope that thanks to the success of this premium edition we can see a similar presentation for the rest of the series. The book is housed in a gorgeous slipcase, the page edges have silver gliding, and the paper stock is thicker than the usual newsprint format."

On a side note for those who maybe hope to make their own Cerebus film: to get the eyes right it's my opinion that the eyes are not like a windshield. If you look at the close up of Cerebus' eyes in the above High Society panel I would argue you see shading underneath the iris (in particular the iris on our left) that would suggest, coupled with the indention of said iris, that there's an inward slope of some kind connecting the two eyes. Otherwise it would maybe be impossible for Cerebus to look to the side like that...that eye in the middle would be very much in the middle looking straight ahead while appearing more flat instead of enjoying a three quarters angle...if that makes sense? Anyway, something to ponder and workout in a sequel?:)

Review of Cerebus #1: "...impressed at both the artwork and the writing which is surprisingly smart..."
