Announcement on THE CAN6 BONUS PRINT coming up later in the week!

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06502294606395720342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837001751311078781.post-29199689966478584362016-11-26T16:32:52.650-06:002016-11-26T16:32:52.650-06:00Hi Dave!

The past bonus prints were/are great, but when I started to put everything into my portfolios (I started my 3rd portfolio with CA5. The bonus prints are not in a chronological order. I just arranged them to have a flow to them after the 2 archives are placed in the beginning of the portfolio and however many inserts in the portfolio are left I would start the bonus prints.

I'm looking at the whole portfolio display aspect of all the archives. I'm thinking of the whole archive as a very, very large book.

Since we are pledging for the first 10 pages of Melmoth, maybe a Melmoth cover, maybe sketches related to the first 10 pages or maybe not having bonus prints but expanding 3 pages of notes to a few more.

I do believe by picking however many bonus prints by reaching certain pledge goals got to be a bit confusing. Especially, when you have 2 different sizes for the bonus prints. ...and then all the others bonus stuff. Streamlined is far much better and quicker.

Michael RagielMichael R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08802415935477599702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837001751311078781.post-51440810927777304482016-11-25T18:27:43.072-06:002016-11-25T18:27:43.072-06:00Why does everyone care about bonus prints so much?...Why does everyone care about bonus prints so much? It's not like it's original art...it's essentially a giant poster, or am I missing something? I'd much rather have access to Dave's notebooks, letters, annotated pages of Cerebus, private conversations (whoops, overstepping a little there) than a big poster. I guess I'm approaching it from more the "literary" angle, where stuff like the former is customarily locked away in some university somewhere. The bonus prints are little more than blowing up the text "A screaming comes across the sky" to poster-size and asking everyone to pay a premium, at least to me.

That said, I'm willing to accept I'm in the minority and Dave should do what most of the people want.D.H. I should have an announcement next Friday about the 1 (one) POSSIBLE Bonus Print this time around that -- if things work out -- everyone should be getting for FREE!

Which means you'll -- QUITE POSSIBLY! -- have this one loose FREE Bonus Print compounding your guilt and keeping all the other guilt-inducing Bonus Prints company while gazing at you, balefully, and making snide "What is our CONCEPT here?" comments from wherever you're keeping them.

I think we can all agree that it's now a BIG PART of the Full, Hard Core CEREBUS Collecting Experience!
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06502294606395720342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837001751311078781.post-36226798125285010952016-11-25T00:14:03.762-06:002016-11-25T00:14:03.762-06:00I'm happy to continue with the bare bones camp...I'm happy to continue with the bare bones campaigns. I always bought some of the bonus prints, and they're nice objects, but they've become yet another thing in my house that I've got squirrelled away, collected because I collect things. Unseen in the Big Envelope and occasionally causing guilt that I've not put any on display.Eric Fennesseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10375132631358277609noreply@blogger.com
