A little weak this...um...week, guys.

Can't we just go back to the earlier, funnier ones?

Geez! Now I gotta go see my therapist.

My holiday prediction: the sales of Batvark™ codpieces will EXPLODE as we descend into Christmas. Has there ever been a better stocking-stuffer idea?

Sign me up for a Batvark codpiece as well!

I love that Jingles one.

AARGH! They're out of order! It's supposed to be Batvark re: NFL football first, then Batvark with the philosophers. Then Batvark and Super-Cerebus. Then the Batvark codpiece fad. When I was proofreading them, they were in the wrong order and I said to Sandeep "They're in the wrong order." "No, no, that's just how they were printed out. I've got them in the right order on my computer." "Oh, okay. You're sure." "Yeah, positive."

Tim? Can you put them in the right order? Thanks.

Thanks, Mike and Carson and Travis. Yeah, I was REALLY happy with this batch!

Jeff - Oh, well. Can't win 'em all.

Have tried to reorder the strips. Just let me know if I've got it wrong.

Unless it was the Super Bowl, the Packers wouldn't have beaten the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Two different conferences.

(Don't worry, Chuck Palahniuk did the same thing in SURVIVORS, when he said the Colts would beat the Ravens in the Super Bowl... despite them both being AFC teams so that matchup is impossible.)

Jeff was just grumpy that he didn't find any typos to correct, so he actually was focused on the jokes this time ;)

I hope that Sandeep was severely reprimanded. SEVERELY! heh.

Well, since you mentioned it, Travis...

This week's suggested corrections:

Strip 1, sidebar, lines 2 and 4--the periods should be outside of the double quote marks on both lines.

Strip 1, panel 2, balloon 3, line 4--the question mark should be a comma and the question mark should follow YOU KNOW, instead of the comma. Thus: "YOU KNOW? IF HIS MUZZLE HAD LOOKED LIKE THAT WHEN HE WAS ALIVE, THEN I WOULD HAVE CHEATED ON HIM A LOT LESS OFTEN." (Yes, insert THEN after ALIVE,--the if/then rule.)

Strip 6, panel 2, balloon 2, line 3--Spelling puns! NOW I get it! Funny!! But...LINAMENT is a typo. It should be either LINEAMENT or LINIMENT. Probably, in context and considering the theme of spelling puns, it should be the former, but either works. But *not* LINAMENT.

Strip 6, panel 3, balloon 7, line 3--in the interest of the theme of spelling puns, shouldn't it be "DE-FEET-ED"?

Thanks, Travis, for spurring me on to get off my butt and to git 'er done.

I should have known.... ;)

I disagree with the "You know..." suggested correction, though. Yours might be right, Jeff, but it isn't as funny. The only suggestion I might make would be to leave it as is except to change the question mark into a comma, but I think I like it as it appears here.

My bad. I haven't read the sports page in over three years -- breaking my sports addiction -- and was never a big football fan to begin with. So I should have checked with someone who does know the divisions.

Originally, I had asked Sandeep: should we save this for the playoffs and then hope that the results match the content? Or change the content at the last minute (which you can do online). i.e. Pick a heavily favoured team to beat Batvark's underdog team.

And then it all just seemed a little too obsessive for a throwaway gag.

What do we do? Change the gag every year at the same time in the playoffs?
