Were these ever made?Or did Dave say "we don't need no steenking badges!"HAHAHAHAHAHA I'M SO FUNNY!Ahemexcuse me, I'll be off now.
I don't know if they came from this manufacturer, but I had a set of the pins with the designs shown that I bought in California, probably at Comics & Comix, which probably got 'em from Bud Plant, around the time I became a reader & fan in early '83.
They occasionally pop up on ebay UK
Michael is correct - from Comics & Comix circa 1982. Only released in one size (1" iirc) and they can be seen in the back matter of Cerebus #48 & 49. Here are some pictures of the pins.
Did anyone else notice that Rick' math was wrong, meaning tha A-V, Inc., received slightly more than 10% in royalties (which, in itself, was a crime)?
Er, make that "Rick's" and "that". And the crime was that it was only 12%, instead of 25 or 50%.
I've got the three non Cerebus badges (Drews, Elrod & Roach)back in the 90's but could never get hold of the two Cerebus ones! There's currently a set of all five on e-bay for about $35 but postage to the UK brings it up to $50 and that makes it prohibitive for me to be able to justify spending that much money(sadly!!)David
Ah, this brings back memories! I had the Elrod one, wore it proudly on my denim jacket for many years. It's long lost now, of course.
