So, my friend invited me to use an AI music generator (it was part of a more complicated thing I'm not gonna go into right now), anyway, one of the prompts I tried was my Mickey Mouse/Philip K. Dick mash-up I drew:

Click to magically make it bigger (I think you can zoom in or something. Honestly I don't know. Why would I ever read this Blog? I just write this crap...)

Anyway, the third attempt was such an absolute banger, that I decided to throw the audio into the Please Hold editing software, download a copy of the Public Domain Steamboat Willie, strip out the cartoon's audio, and edit a video where Mickey isn't being cruel to animals (surprisingly, harder than one would assume. Mickey was kind of an asshole in 1928...), and add in a few of the panels I drew plus the original I used to draw my version.

Our very own Jen DiGiacomo is part of a film production titled The Day Elvis Died. She'll never ask anybody here, but they're crowdfunding to finish the post production on the movie. (It's set in 1977, will a certain obscure Canadian cartoon aardvark make a cameo? (No. Elvis died in August. Cerebus wasn't published until December. Any appearance in the flick would be an anachronism that would ruin the movie for everybody. EVERYBODY!).) Here's the first trailer.

Since it's Holiday time, Twomorrows publishing is having their annual sale. Comic Book Creator magazine has done interviews with Dave adjacent creators like Steve Bissette, Bob Burden, (I haven't read it, so I can neither confirm or deny if Dave is mentioned) Rick Veitch, among others. And Cerebus is covered in Back Issue #75, and the X-Men crossover is talked about in #118. And Margaret has a photo printed in issue #31. If you search for "Dave Sim", they have a bunch of issues. Anyway, just letting people know. Sale ends December 9th.
