"A is for Aardvark" (New Dave Art)

Hi, Everybody!

So no new Off-White House Bulletin, all I got recently was the Kickstarter Update I posted yesterday.

Which kinda sucks, because I think Dave needs to explain what the hell this stuff he had sent to me is:

Man, really wished I had Dave explaining why he's sending an article from eleven years ago that presumes univocality, inherency, and historicity in the bible...

Or, what the deal we these pieces is (click for bigger):

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN OLD MAN?!?

Rigamarole:

Speaking of the 'starters, acquaintance to the blog Travis sent in:
Hi Matt, are you willing to put a link to my comic's Kickstarter on Moment of Cerebus? If not, that's cool.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fkhk/my-captivity?ref=user_menu

I'm selling bootleg Cerebus trading cards featuring my art, coloring by Hobbs, and unused art of MY characters by Dave. $10 a set for 11 cards plus TWO HANDDRAWN cards (by me). Email momentofcerebus@gmail.com and I'll explain how to pay.

The Help Out Bill Messner-Loebs Go Fund Me, or buy Rodney Schroeter's book with proceeds going to Bill. More on this as I'm allowed to post stuff...

Our very own Jen DiGiacomo is part of a film production titled The Day Elvis Died. She'll never ask anybody here, but they're crowdfunding to finish the post production on the movie. (It's set in 1977, will a certain obscure Canadian cartoon aardvark make a cameo? (No. Elvis died in August. Cerebus wasn't published until December. Any appearance in the flick would be an anachronism that would ruin the movie for everybody. EVERYBODY!).)

Time to go BACK to the copy store...

Hi, Everybody!

Mondays!

Anyway...

Tomorrow, as she does MOST weeks, Jen DiGiacomo is gonna solicit everybody into giving a li'l something-something to The Strange Death of Alex Raymond GoFundMe she set up to get Dave money to keep working on pages (Dave's drawing pages in the 650s...). And as a part of that, she posted all of the pages from the Living The Line version of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond (up to page 205), and now she's posting Dave's mocked-up pages.

Fun fact: GoFundMe has changed their setup so you can contribute on a monthly basis (like the Patreon...).

So, to "tee her up", I've been running the Proto-Strange Death of Alex Raymond that Dave ran in glamourpuss.

But she didn't post last week, and we only have five issues left, and I've just spent my evening working on something else, I'm taking the break.

BECAUSE: I'm selling these little beauties:
To help raise monies for my kid's Dance team. $10 USD (no shipping charge unless you live on the dark side of the Earth and you get your mail delivered by dogsled or rickshaw or something.)  Email momentofcerebus@gmail.com for the details.

And since my ol' pal Larry "CAN #11" W. bought a set, I've decided that I'm gonna expand the set to include ELEVEN cards. Since the two blanks aren't numbered in the set, I'm adding four more cards to those seven:

#8:

#9:

#10:
Click for bigger

#11:

So, Cards 1-7 & the blanks are available in "Jewish" or "Gentile" (That, I say that, means "cut" or "uncut" son. Pay attention, I'm tryin' to educate ya. (Nice kid, but smart as a bag of hammers...) Your, I say, your choice boy.) Cards 8-11 are only available cut. $10 USD gets ya a set. Again, momentofcerebus@gmail.com for details.

"But how can you justify using Dave's art without permission?"

Well imaginary AMOC reader who lives rent free in my head, I'm pretty sure he won't mind, but maybe I'll ask him when we Please Hold on Thursday. If you wanna add your question to the pile (it is quite high this month) email it to momentofcerebus@gmail.com.

Cerebus the Christmas Ornament?

Hi, Everybody!

My pal Christon sent me something:

He said to me:
Last year I had asked my buddy, who owns a 3D printer to make me a Cerebus ornament. Well, he came thru. Yes, it was several monthes after Christmas but he did finally come thru. He also made me several of the same thing. Since I don't necessarily need multiple of the same thing, I figure the best thing to do is share with someone who may actually appreciate Cerebus as I do. If you are interested at all, I'll send one to you. I need no money. You've MORE than earned it, as I appreciate your work on AMOC.
Christon
He also said:
I just got this back from CGC, thought I'd share how cool it looks

Neat!

Thanks Christon!

Next Time: Cerebus.

Aardvark Comment/Please Hold preview/AMOC Sale/Monday/

Hi, Everybody!

Speaking of "Mondays", Birdsong sent me this. I offer it without comment:
____________________
So the Labor Day sale at The AMOC TeePublic Shoppe is LIVE!

I forgot one yesterday,
"SIM-biote Spider-Vark". I made this one hoping that Dave and the CiH? team would use him in future issues, but so far, no dice.

Only one sold, making the variant more popular than the regular Spider-Vark.

And I got a "Cease & Desist" DMCA Takedown Notice on the Taylor Swift merch.

I guess I'ma have to fight it, but it kinda sucks. If you ordered anything, let me know if you get a refund, or what.

Okay, is that Moment enough?
No.

You guys suck...

Next Time: You're all Jen's problem...

Gerhard and the Best. Show. Ever!

Hi, Everybody!

Before we do it, Dave checked in with AKIMBO/CAN10 news:
Yeah, I'm not running Bill's fax. I asked him, and he said, "Nah dawg." So, if you REALLY need to see it, send three bucks to me.

Anyway, Gerhard emailed me:
Hey Matt,

Hope you're doing well.

I just got back from the Orlando Comic Art Expo. It was the best show ever. Period.

I had done a whole bunch of drawings ahead of time. I don't like sketching at shows.
I'm too slow. I spend most of the show with my head down, drawing.
I can't talk to anybody while I'm drawing because I use my hands when I talk.
So I blatantly ripped off--- I mean... "lovingly recreated and reinterpreted" panels from the book.
I call them Moments of Cerebus. I sold each and every one of them.
Like I said: Best. Show. Ever.

You can post them all at once, or one a day, or whenever you need some actual Cerebus content.

Best wishes,
Ger

Ger sold all of these, but if you want/need one, he DOES do commissions.

Alright, I'ma watch the Tremendous Bowl.

Next Time: Monday.
