They said it couldn't be done! But who's laughing now?!?

Hi, Everybody!

Dave and I will be recording the TENTH Please Hold For Dave Sim of 2024 (wait, did we skip one this year? Fug it. The October one.). If you wanna have us mispronounce your name and answer some obscure bit of Cerebus related trivia you have questions about, send both to momentofcerebus@gmail.com by Wednesday night when I send the Fax up to Dave.
We're answering this one FIRST ('cause we missed it last month...)
For the Record: TMNT #8 takes place before Cerebus #1. Spawn #10 isn't in Continuity. (Cerebus smokes and goes to Kitchener. He's "not Cerebus".) And the Ninja High School crossover takes place during two panels of Cerebus #1. (Cerebus VS the Spirit is a pre-#1 story too.)

Anyway...
Continuing doing Dave's Business in the Streets:
And Friend to the Blog: Joshua Even (of the Barbarian TMNT & Cerebus Evens...) has an offer you can't refuse:

A NECA scale Cerebus Action Figure!

He's doing these in batches of ten. When he's got ten ordered, they're gonna 3-D print and hand paint all of 'em. One Hundred and Twenty American Dollars (plus Twenty more for shipping in the US. More for you overseas fellas.). Slid into his DMs on the Facebook for details on how you get him his money. Tell him Manly Matt Dow sent you for absolutely NO DISCOUNT whatsoever! Hell, I won't even get anything off of the one I'ma ordering...

You heard about it here first (if you don't check the Cerebus Facebook group...)

Hey Matt,

Could you read this on Please Hold and/or post it to AMOC? Thanks!

The Cerebus/Dave Sim rewards were really popular on the last couple of Kickstarters, so I'm going to offer the original art for the "Tails of Sparkybus" cover to the highest cash donation (that is, not including reward items, but an added donation, or a donation for no reward) made in the last 24 hours of the campaign, from 5PM EST on July 10 to 5PM EST July 11.

Man, that's some sweet Dave Sim Original Art goodness.

Why do I even try and make plans?

Hi, Everybody!

I don't know why I even make plans.

I need to go to bed and get up and work (hours 61 thru 71).

So I WON'T get to the long post I keep promising.

But here's a thing,
Damnit Birdsong sent in:
Exclusive to AMOC-FACEBOOK-X-MAILCHIMP
An anonymous source has sent in-progress photos of a sculpture to be featured on the IFC (and in as many promotional images as we can squeeze out of it) for an upcoming issue of CIH? in 2024.

This is gonna end up as a stop motion animation, ain't it?

Rigamarole:
Heritage has a bunch of Dave Sim/Cerebus stuff. Including a thing I didn't realize Dave didn't have...

In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhubus waits dreaming/Cerebus the Action Figure: Everything is Awesome! Edition

Hi, Everybody!

I got MAIL:

I ain't got time to be filming videos...

Anyway, Spatula sent me one of the Cthulubus books Dave talked about:
(first his note:)

As I said last time:
If you NEED this image in your life, I can send you the nearly 4000pixel image I got and you can print it out and slap it in any book you want. momentofcerebus@gmail.com
Offer still stands.

And if you want a physical copy, Spatula knows a guy. I'd share the link from the Faceybookee group, but they don't let me. (Fuckin' Zuckerberg...) If you're a member, look for Larry Wooten's stuff.

Hey!

Remember that Cerebus Action Figure?

No, I don't know when they're gonna be available.

But I got a line on the Everything is Awesome! Edition:

That's RIGHT! It's Cerebus the Lego:
My unpainted prototypes.

So, I got this Lego Spider-Man set that had a "Porkchop" minifigure. (He's the Spider-Ham version of Venom.)
And it got me thinking about making a Cerebus Lego Minifigure.

So I went to the eBays and found as many Spider-Ham and Spider-Ham knockoffs as I could get my grubby lil' hands on.
Anybody want a little head? (I WON'T be apologizing for that joke.)

I even got a bunch of little sets of legs so my Cerebi will be shorter than you average mini figure. (Like "Unorthodox Bacon Revenge" on the left...)
I mean a lot of legs sets:

Anyway, back to the figures,

I have two different tails:

The one on the left needs to be sanded down a little. And I have to make a sculpty mold to mass produce enough of them. (I got parts to make like fifteen minifigs.)

The other big step I have to do is to get gray, black, and white paint.

Which is where my problem comes in. I'm apparently involved in a Blood Feud with the local gaming store, so I can't shop there. And I'm involved in another Blood Feud with the gaming store near my Local Comic Shop. So, once I find a place I can get the paint, it's just a matter of painting, making the tails and swords, and getting the right cloth to make little vests:
Black like the batman cape, but with a modified cut like the coat.

I'll let everybody know when I'm finished and ready to sell to the lucky few.

If you wanna skip the "Matt"le Man, check eBay.

Cerebus Action Figure!?!

Hi, Everybody!

Here's a thing:

The "deets" (as the kids say):
Cerebus! We will be releasing him as part of our @sewerwarriors line.
Painted by @duzmachines84
Sculpt by @gustavoprofeta
@masterturtle_customs
#tmnt
You can buy one (when they're available) here

No, these aren't licensed by Dave.

I don't think he's gonna get "a piece of the action".

And based on the other items in their store, I think these things are gonna be $150 bucks a pop.

But hey!

Moment.

Next Time: Hobbs.
