Dang, I KNEW I forgot something for yesterday's post...

I opened up the box of "evening cuppes"...

(Since they're misprinted versions of Cerebus' Latter Days coffee mug, and typically people drink coffee in the morning, and:

...so I call them "mourning cuppes". Then the misprints would have to be the opposite, therefore "evening cuppes"...) (Ya get the idea of how I got this gig, don'tcha?)

Anyway, there were twenty-nine of the seventy-two I ended up with (thirty or so of which I donated to the Hero Initiative twenty or so years ago. Who knows what happened to them...).

I'm gonna keep one, so I have twenty-eight that I don't need to hang onto after twenty-one years.

Our very own Jen DiGiacomo is part of a film production titled The Day Elvis Died. She'll never ask anybody here, but they're crowdfunding to finish the post production on the movie. (It's set in 1977, will a certain obscure Canadian cartoon aardvark make a cameo? (No. Elvis died in August. Cerebus wasn't published until December. Any appearance in the flick would be an anachronism that would ruin the movie for everybody. EVERYBODY!).) Here's the first trailer.

So, twenty-one years ago, I made a replica of Cerebus' coffee mug from issue #279.

This week I decided to do it again. Because I'm not good at the photoshop, I turned to David Birdsong for help in making the logo look good. He did:

But, when he and I were emailing, I remembered something Dave said to me in a letter:

I don't live there anymore, it's a parking lot now...

I'm pretty sure that Dave's wrong, but to make sure, I went through Rick's Story looking for Cerebus feet:
This is the first appearance, page 110 of Rick's Story, but it don't look too good.

Page 113.

Page 118 you can't even see both feet:

Page 128/129 has a small and then large overly detailed version:
