I got mail!

Hi, Everybody!

Time sensitive Cerebus thing:

Dave Sim is trying an eBay experiment to see if his own (signed and numbered) comic copies from the Kickstarter will sell.

This time he is selling a total of 5 comic books over the next six weeks. There is only one comic book to start on eBay. Each week there will be another comic added to the eBay listing.

The first auction is scheduled to start today, Friday Feb 6 at 8 PM Eastern Time (5pm PT). Sim wanted a two week auction; the longest Dave's eBay guy can run it is 10 days, so it'll end Monday Feb 16 at 8 pm ET.

The item title is Dave Sim POSSUM-AT-LARGE VS. SUPER-CEREBUS (CIH? #85) Signed 1/5 (#104/185)

So I got these in the mail the other day:

These are indeed, PROTOTYPES for the 82 Tour Book from my GOOD friends at The Waverly Press. From left to right is:
  • The "B" version of the comic book sized version. This is Dave's Tour diary, and Deni's photos from the Tour. This is gonna be a lower prized option on the Kickstarter.  It's my preferred cover.
  • In the middle is the PROTOTYPE of the Big Ol' Book that Margaret and I helped cobble together. It has Dave's Tour diary, Deni's photos, loads of sketches from the tour, interviews from 82, commentaries by [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDCATED] reminiscing about the Tour. THIS copy is softcover, but the ACTUAL book will be Hardcover (and glorious!). This is the one that you have better saved your shekels for... Kickstarter starts soon(?)
  • And on the right is the "A" version of the comic book sized version. Pretty much the same as the "B" version. Dave's diary, Deni's photos. Low priced option. It's designed to look like Dave's mock-up of the Tour Diary from 83, complete with Preney Printing logos. It's my preferred interior.
I'll do a more in depth post in the future (maybe tomorrow.)

Also included in the package was

What is it?

It's a softcover version of the Regency Edition that (pending Dave's approval) MIGHT be offered on the Kickstarter. The back matter has been revised compared to the original hardcover. But it'll be a more affordable option for people who missed out the first time.

And speaking of Kickstarters, the Tyrant one is a'comin'. And I'm pretty sure this'll be in there somewhere:

Okay, I gotta run.

Next Time: Prototype reviews?

I'm busy, so here's the end of High Society

 Hi, Everybody!

I'ma supposed to be posting Please Hold For Dave Sim 8/2024, but I'm not done making all the videos and getting them on YouTube. I'll have them done for tomorrow.

Promise.

To make it up to Everybody, here's the End of the High Society portion of the 2019 Reread:

Okay, back to listening to the sound of my own voice...

"It's over. Finished. The jig (as they say) is up..."

Hi, Everybody!

Before I forget AGAIN(!!!!!!!), Dave and I are doing the Please Hold thing again this Thursday. We would LOVE to have your questions/comments/whatevers. (Mainly because the ol' AMOC Mailbag is mighty slim on Qs this month. And I much as I appreciated a weekend of in July, that wasn't my intention when I told Dave I wanted to be done before the fireworks. I live downtown. I wanted to be done before it got loud...) So, shoot an email to momentofcerebus@gmail.com, before Wednesday night, and Dave and I will prattle on about it on Thursday, and I'll slave all Saturday making ma li'l videos.

Anyway, this

the Cerebus Humble Bundle:

SO, if you're THAT guy, Dave'll refund your money. Of course, you're taking money you don't really need away from a guy who already spent 25% of it to pay Gerhard, and then he gave... 20%(?) of the rest to feed the poor. But, yeah, because you paid $99CANADIAN(!) instead of $18USD (And, really, isn't that about the same amount?) you should TOTALLY get a refund... (I mean I paid $25 USD for the Cerebus Humble Bundle. And if you check the Leaderboard, other guys paid like a hundred US(!), but sure, ask for a refund. I'm not judging. (I totally am! I'm judging like my name is Judy, and you tried to screw over somebody for a minor amount of money...)
