The Kickstarter for the Cerebus #4 CAN Portfolio 6-7/78: Get your surveys in.
Hello Backers,
We are currently hip deep in the fulfillment process but Dave has made some decisions “going forward” (i.e. the next campaign). We will be sending out surveys as soon as possible when the camapaign ends, immediately after if possible (in most cases it should be) and then:
1) 24 hours after the survey is sent we will process the backer’s reports that have come in and begin fufilling those orders.
Batch #1.
2) 1 week later we will process any surveys that have come in.
Batch #2.
3) When all remaining surveys come we will process the final orders.
Batch #3.
Backer numbers will not change during this process. The backer order is always determined by Kickstarter based on when you pledge. When a backer drops out of a campaign their number is dropped completely. When the campaign is over we manually adjust so that everyone after the backer that dropped out is moved up and we don’t have any gaps in the numbering. These numbers will not change no matter which batch includes your pledge.
This is for the buyers that always fill their survey out immediately to get the fulfillment process going as soon as possible. As dave said, “we’re all done with this ‘no child left behind’ approach.”
Another change to way we usually do things is that we will no longer accept orders when a backer bypasses all the choices offered on a campaign and just adds payment along with a list of what they want to buy. To make the Kickstarter campaign run smoothly and easily for everyone we will limit the kickstarter part of the campaign to only what is available as a tier or add-on. Stretch rewards and additional items added during or at the end of the campaign are possible in any campaign at any time, but not necessarilly every time.
It’s not that we had a lot of problems with backers adding payment and then listing out what they want to purchase. This ususally happens only a few times for each campaign, but those types of orders will now be handled byThe cerebus downloads offer isn’t a general thing. When Aardvark-Vanaheim offers items through Kickstarter we are partnering with them. We will not undermine that by offering the same thing on Cerebus Downloads the same time the Kickstarter campaign is live. This is largely directed at the backers that “HATE” surprises. There was more than one forceful declaration of this hatred. The solution for these potential backers is to wait until the campaign has ended and then order ANY ITEM offered during the Kickstarter campaign much in the same way additional copies were offered after some campaigns at the IndieGoGo site. The time period this offer will be available is not yet determined.
All of the items offered for sale after the campaign will be exactly the same as what is offered during the Kickstarter campaign. They will be considered a part of the same campaign. Waiting to purchase late in the process will leave you with a higher number. It becomes a matter of priorities. Which do you hate more? Surprises or higher numbers?
In either case, your CAN number is yours and it will not change unless you let Dave know you no longer wish to use it.
THE DAVE SIM RETURN POLICY
If you receive a comic book from one of these campaigns that you are unhappy with it will be replaced for no additional charge. Because these comic books are individually numbered it is important that you send the damaged or defective comic book back to Dave so he can replace it with the same number and then personally destroy the defective copy. This ensures an accurate numbering system for these very limited editions.
If you are returning a comic to Dave for a replacement it will ultimately be destroyed once it has been replaced. It is not necessary to spend a lot of money to package and return the item. If it’s already damaged there’s no need to treat it gently. No matter what you spend to ship it back, be sure to let Dave know and he will refund your shipping cost. No additional charge means NO additional charge.
