Okay, check out Saturday & Sunday's posts for all the The Last Day news you could ever want.

Heard From Eduardo:
Dear Mr. Sim, Matt and Sean, how are you?

I started a new campaign, now only with Spawn Ten, with very low financing value, as suggested by Mr. Sim: https://www.catarse.me/spawndez. Let's hope everything works out!

The disclosure is already being made on social networks and, even today, I will publish it on my blog about news about comics in Brazil, spider145hqs.com.

If everything goes well with this campaign, it will pave the way for me to try Swords of Cerebus again.
Yeah, yeah, I KNOW another goddamn Spawn #10 Variant. But NOBODY'S MAKING you buy these things...

Speaking of, Turtles 8 Update #1:
Greetings backers,

The remastered Turtles 8 book has gone to print and we are currently in the proofing stage. We don't have a firm delivery date yet but it looks like the books will be finished in the next few weeks. The trading cards are printed and we can show you some of them here. The Visions of Turtles 8 set turned out super cool! The black and white "75 More Sleeps" and Zombie cover card sets are limited to just 100 each. All of the cards turned out better than expected!

We're working on the reward surveys and you should receive them any day now.

Thank you for your support!
FILL OUT YOUR SURVEYS!!! I want MORE stuff!

"Wait, 'MORE'?!?"

Turtles 8 Update #2:
These came in the mail today:
A giant-ass stack of MY trading card for the *deep breath*
"Eastman & Laird & Sim's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Eight guest-starring Cerebus Visions of Turtles Eight" trading card set.

I guess I'm selling SIGNED cards now. (It seems like I'm selling everything but the Kitchen Sink...)

Anyway, momentofcerebus@gmail.com is where ya beg for one of these things...

schemes, "schemes", or Schemes

Hi, Everybody!

Congratulations to Christon!

You know how to get Dave money, so you can do it yourself, or email momentofcerebus@gmail.com, and I'll go over the particulars.

And I'm asking Dave in a minute "other guys", so when I hear from him I'll let you know.

Speaking of hearing from Dave:

And:
I WISH I had time to sit around and wait for the mail...

Well there ya go...

The Last Day Remarqued Editions are now available Internationally!
Shipping for international is:
International Surface = $35 Canadian dollars - takes 1.5 - 3 months to get
or
International Air = $75 Canadian dollars - takes 1 - 2 months to get
So, click on over to CerebusDownload.com, and get yours, OR if you find Remarques distracting:
CEREBUS TP VOL 16 THE LAST DAY NEW PTG SGN ED
Or if you have enough copies of Dave's signature:
CEREBUS TP VOL 16 THE LAST DAY NEW PTG (O/A)

These are the new printing WITH the "The Last Day" sticker on the spine to cover up the "Form & Void" F***-UP.

If you'd rather have the misprint, CerebusDownload.com. But then you're gonna have to pony up for the Remarque...

Anyway, if YOU want YOUR copy of the Remastered The Last Day to be personalized (like mine is), you need to pay at CerebusDownload.com, then call (519) 576-0610 and leave a message for Dave explaining that you bought a copy (I'd say what the name that paid is, so Dave can verify with Eddie. Like if you're Hunter, but RauolDuke@email.com paid, I'd say "Hi Dave! This is RauolDuke@email.com, I paid for a Remarqued The Last Day at CerebusDownload.com, and would like it personalized "To Hunter!" please. I've been a fan since somewhere near Barstow on the edge of the desert..." (Ya know that the tape DOES run out, right?...) OR, if you have the technology, you could fax your PayPal receipt to (519) 576-0955 to prove to Dave that you paid, and include your personalization request. Or if you know Eddie's email (I do. I know all sorts of stuff. Like the address of the Off White House. And what Dave meant by "gum cards". And Gerhard's shoe size. It's all in the AMOC Editor's Book of Secrets...), you could email Eddie with your personalization request, and make HIM tell Dave to write "To Hunter!" on your Remarqued The Last Day that you bought from CerebusDownload.com for $99 Canadian Dollars.

Could you add a link to SDOAR 2023 GFM at the bottom of your posts on AMOC?
Thanks!
Jen
I mean she's bribing me with the FIRST "On Model" Beer Dave's drawn (and only on his fourth attempt...), so I guess I'm OBLIGED to pimp her GoFundMe...

And since Dave brought it up, Norma Martin's GoFundMe.

"Do you know the way to Elrod Way? Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa"

Hi, Everybody!

______________________________

SAY! have you heard about the NEW Cerebus Crowdfunding Campaign?

"Yes, Matt. We know ALL about the Remastered TMNT #8. Ya kinda won't shut up about it..."

No, not THAT Cerebus Crowdfunding Campaign, the BRAZILIAN one:
"Did somebody say Brazil?"

Apparently Oliver's Cerebus movie being on the streaming down there has paid off...

They're doing, at Dave's suggestion, Swords of Cerebus Vol. 1 in Portuguese.

It's got that Sean Robinson remastered goodness. In Portuguese.

Anyway, since you mentioned it, have you heard about the new Kickstarter?

"YES!!! We LITERALLY just said it's all your talking about!!! PAY! A! TTENTION!!!!!"

No, not THAT Kickstarter, Gary Boyarski's Kickstarter for Jack Grim #11
.
Hi Matt!

I know I've been pretty absent in regards to the active Cerebus fandom/crew as of late, but I was wondering if you're interested in giving my current Kickstarter a plug on the ol MOC page. Lots of Cerebus fans were exposed to my comic, Jack Grimm thanks to Dave's cover art on my last issue (Jack Grimm's Halloween Treat #1)
and I thought that this would be the best way to reach out to them.

Jack Grimm issue 11 is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter here,

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1961845066/jack-grimm-harbinger-of-death-11?ref=project_link

There is also the option to catch up and get the full set with issue 1-11 for those who are new to the series.

I've included some images that you can share from issue 11. Including the ultimate Cerebus reference that I could come up with.

Thanks!
Gary Boyarski
creator Jack Grimm: Harbinger of Death

Get it?

Any anyway, SPEAKING OF THE REMASTERED TURTLES 8 Kickstarter,
Thanks Iguana!

Spawn #10 South African Edition

Hi, Everybody!

Here's a closer look at that small print:

Soooo...Todd owns the Aardvark?

More small print:

Okay, all you Spawn #10 completists: just print out these pages and save yourself the hassle of tracking down an original. It's mostly Gen-13 for fuck's sake...

"'Nipples & Whipped Cream'!?! FINALLY this Blog is worth reading again!!!" (doesn't actually contain anything about Nipples, or whipped cream...)

Hi, Everybody!

Well, ya run a batch of faxes, and Dave sends more...

Brazil!
Eduardo sent me, and I forwarded up to "The Big Giant Head":
Dears Mr. Sim - and Manly Matt Down,

Thank you so much for the reply.

Mr. Sim, I think I understand everything.

Well, I think I've come to a conclusion after reading everything you've written.

Ideally, then, we really start with SWORDS OF CEREBUS.

Here's what I thought: we launched the first SWORDS and tested the audience.

If everything goes well, we go to the end, with the six volumes, equivalent to the first 25 issues.

Passing this first phase and everything going well, we moved on to the phone books.

In the sixth volume of SWORDS, I publish a SLIPCASE, which simulates a phone volume book, for the collector to pack the six-volume collection, with the inscription of VOLUME 1 on spine. What do you think of the idea?

I believe it will take us a year, a year and a few months to complete, if there is good public reception for all six volumes of SWORDS.

With that in mind, I have a few questions to go on:

1. Will we have a publishing contract?

2. The Brazilian public receiving CEREBUS well, would you assure me that I can publish the material to the end?

3. Can the advanced and royalties (payment) be paid for my translation into Portuguese/Brazilian? Once the material is ready for printing, would I send you the PDF (or JPG, whichever you prefer) for publication on your platform?

4. The material of SWORDS Volume 1 + images for dissemination in the CATARSE campaign, could you send me when, so that I can work on the material?

5. I thought about publishing online, one issue a week, as you suggested. The problem is that translation and layout costs would be high anyway. I publishing the material in print, these costs will be generated in the Catarse campaign.

6. Now I understand everything you said. Really, starting slow is more "on the floor". It will take less time and the unit cost for the Brazilian public will be lower, therefore, selling copies will become easier.

7. As "Jack the Ripper" says, let's go by parts, but what I'm thinking: in case it works everything was right in this first phase (success of SWORDS volume 1 and, consequently, of the another five volumes, completing volume 1 PHONE BOOK - which I believe will take about a year / a year and a half - 18 months), my idea is to publish the PHONE BOOKS in two editions for year. So I think we'll reach the end in 8 to 10 years. All right for you? I think after half the material, phone books have fewer pages, right? Perhaps I manage to publish more than two volumes a year, but roughly speaking, I think the deadline approximate conclusion would be this, right?

Well, I guess that's it.

I'm ready to start. I have already activated translator and diagrammer.

I'm waiting for you sir so I can start.

Thank you so much for everything.

Yours sincerely,
Best regards

Eduardo Alves
Editora Futuro
When I sent it to Dave, I said:
Dave,
Latest from Eduardo.
I look forward to your response.
Specifically to points 1 & 3.
Manly
 Dave sez:
Eddie responds to Dave's thingy of yesterday:
Since Eddie was talking about Heritage, they DO have all sorts of Neat Stuff. (original art and whatnots. Click the blue "Heritage".) They ALSO have an auction going right now that has a number of Canadian Price Variants. Which, longtime readers/viewers/"fans"/what-have-yous, know, Dave is trading Doug Sulipa signed Cerebus comics for (I think CiH? issues...). Well, a bunch of them are going for a dollar or less. But a few are big money items (click the blue "going right now" to see.)
A few that jumped out at me:
Masters of the Universe #1 9.8 which Dave has a 9.0 of. Now, Dave's is a CGC, and the Heritage's is a CBCS. I have NO IDEA what the difference is. Presumably it's a different company. Are the grades comparable? No clue.
DC Comics Presents #68 9.8 which I think is a funny cover:
Currently selling for a dollar ($30 with Buyer's Premium)

The New Mutants #14 9.8
It's NOT S'ym's first appearance, but it MIGHT be his first cover appearance...
Also, a dollar.

I mean, they aren't ALL going for cheap. Amazing Spider-Man #239 9.8 is going for $105

Alpha Flight #1 9.8 is $280What If? #46 9.8 is $155
And X-Men #181 9.9 is $180

Anyway, Dave also sent me photos of him signing the next Cerebus in Hell?:

Which leads to Matt's Stupid Project #1, but...uh...I think I'ma sit on that for a little longer...
