If you backed the Form & Void Kickstarter, you might be one of the TWO lucky people who haven't filled out your surveys, thus preventing me from getting my copies when the numbers from the Mass Market Edition come in and the books get printed. So, maybe take care of that huh?
Speaking of the Waverly Press, I posted a bit ago about their latest book, Bobby Grossman’s LOW FIDELITY, the Kickstarter for which ends in 10 days, and somebody asked what a book with photos of Debbie Harry had to do with Cerebus. Which is a good dang question. What DOES Debbie Harry have to do with Cerebus?
No idea... |
Speaking of filling things out:
Hobbs' would LOVE for you to fill out your surveys for his Kickstarter for the HARD COVER Swords of Cerebus volumes 9 & 10. Love it...

Speaking of filling things out part Deux:
If you bought a Pieces of Turtles 8.2, you should let Eddie know at
, how you want them. Signed & Numbered? Unsigned & Unnumbered? Signed but not numbered? Numbered but not signed? With your Cerebus Archive Number? With Seiler's Cerebus Archive Number (it ain't like HE'S using it...)? With a Cerebus Archive letter (like, Dave writes "CAN #J, because this is a thing now. THANKS 4 @$%&ING NOTHING MATT!!!!")? With Connie Lingus' number? The possibilities are hilarious...And if you DIDN'T manage to purchase a Pieces of Turtles 8.2, I still have seven copies available at the Turtle Profiteering price of $25 American. Includes BOTH of the AMOC N.F.T.*s at NO ADDED COST. Bug me at momentofcerebus@gmail.com.

I'm fortunate enough to own a tissue paper colour rough for the cover to this issue.
Just really drives home how high of a bar Dave set, how scarce the competition was (and still is!), and how blunting the pervasiveness of Super Dooper Spandex Man and Overendowed Girl has been to North American comics creativity.

It is a bit weird that in the comics industry, the "mainstream" is one genre and all other genres are "alternative".
