Pieces of Turtles 8.2 News

Hi, Everybody!

Today's Moment of Cerebus is a Dave Sim fax regarding Pieces of Turtles 8.2:

So, uh, that's how things stand RIGHT NOW.

If you bought a Pieces of Turtles 8.2, you should let Eddie know at eddiesdoar@gmail.com, how you want them. Signed & Numbered? Unsigned & Unnumbered? Signed but not numbered? Numbered but not signed? With your Cerebus Archive Number? With Seiler's Cerebus Archive Number (it ain't like HE'S using it...)? With a Cerebus Archive letter (like, Dave writes "CAN #J, because this is a thing now. THANKS 4 @$%&ING NOTHING MATT!!!!")? With Connie Lingus' number? The possibilities are hilarious...

And if you DIDN'T manage to purchase a Pieces of Turtles 8.2, I still have seven copies available at the Turtle Profiteering price of $25 American. Includes BOTH of the AMOC N.F.T.*s at NO ADDED COST. Bug me at momentofcerebus@gmail.com.

Anyway, I sent a reply to Dave and Eddie (and Dave responded):

I gotta respond. What do you guys think?

Front or back?

PLAZA by Yokoyama Yuichi Kickstarter Pre-Launch Link and Diamond ordering live!

Hello LTL friends, Sean here.

At long last, the new book from Living the Line is almost here!

PLAZA, by the great Yokoyama Yuichi, is almost ready to preorder! Our Kickstarter for this maniacal manga magic trick will be live in just a few days, and the Diamond Comics order period just opened as well!

PLAZA is translated by noted manga scholar
Ryan Holmberg, and includes a revealing interview with Yokoyama.

Bigger, bolder, and louder than ever before, neo-manga artist Yokoyama Yuichi is back with PLAZA! Inspired by Carnaval in Brazil, PLAZA offers a maniacal extravaganza of marching, dancing, leaping, firing, cheering, smashing, and exploding over the course of 225 eye-and-eardrum-confounding pages. Originally published in Japan in 2019, this oversize English edition of PLAZA brings to full, hyper-animated life the spectacular graphic art of this genre-defying work of avant-garde comics.

If you want to get a sneak peek at the art for the book, check out this tech video with both Carson and I, where we discuss Adobe Lightroom in the context of book production, and accidentally give an overview peek at half of the book as teeny tiny postage stamps! An interesting birds-eye view of Yokohama’s design process that undergirds the entirety of this singular, inventive book.

And be sure to check out the newly-updated Living the Line site for new videos, new book announcements and sample images, lineup changes, and more!

Hi Matt!
Gotta go with "Adventures of Cerebus No. 500 1/7" on the front of POT8.2 because I believe yours will be the ONLY books signed the front, DEFINITELY distinguish them when you sell them and its looks so darn COOL!

Time may prove me wrong, but I sure doubt provenance for these issues will ever be of any significance.
