Please Hold For Dave Sim 12/2024

Hi, Everybody!

Once again, Dave and I white knuckled our way through another Please Hold For Dave Sim.

Audio:

Video:

Part 1: I remember Jeff Seiler:
Part 2: We begin to work on some Aardvark-Vanaheim/Please Hold POLICY. And Dave does his business in the street:
More on this as I get confirmation one way or the other as to how redacted they want what Dave sent me.

Part 3: In the next POLICY segment, Dave establishes how he's gonna handle requests to do other podcasts from now on. And discusses Oktoberfest Comics:

Part 4: The next POLICY segment involves the Official Cerebus Facebook Group, and Dave's complete lack of control over it. Margaret gets in trouble:
If James Waley sees this, please post your post there again, and I'll withhold Margaret's PTO until she lets it stay up...

Part 5: Aardvark-Vanaheim STILL hasn't gotten their check from Humble Bundle. Dave has ideas about that. (I don't necessarily agree with the idea, but Dave's owed over 41 thousand dollars, so if he's getting squirrelly, I can't blame him...):
More on this as I get frantic emails...

Part 6: Dave has news for Tony Dunlop and anybody  else who wants a remastered Guys:
Part 7: MJ Sewall has questions about Dave and driving:
Part 8: Michael R. has a couple of questions about the first and last Cerebus trades:
Part 9: Christon has a question about circulation numbers:
Part 10: J. Toons has questions:
Part 11: And we end with Steve Peters' version of my version of Jack Kirby's Silver Surfer piece:
And that's all we recorded.

Rigamarole:
35% off December 7-18 and 25-31.*

Got a message from my friends at the Waverly Press. They're doing Holiday Bundles for 2024. There are limited to 50 bundles. Available until December 31 or they sell out. Whichever comes first. Get 'em while they're hot. https://waverlycomics.com

Since it's Holiday time, Twomorrows publishing is having their annual sale. Comic Book Creator magazine has done interviews with Dave adjacent creators like Steve Bissette, Bob Burden, (I haven't read it, so I can neither confirm or deny if Dave is mentioned) Rick Veitch, among others. And Cerebus is covered in Back Issue #75, and the X-Men crossover is talked about in #118. And Margaret has a photo printed in issue #31. If you search for "Dave Sim", they have a bunch of issues. Anyway, just letting people know. Sale ends December 9th.

In other news, since Twitter is a dumpster-fire and most people are skipping out of there, AMOC has joined BlueSky. Follow along. Or don't. No skin of my nuts either way...

I'm definitely game for a remastered Guys!! Where do I sign up?

Likewise. Would happily pay $100 US if I had to, especially with a custom drawing, but I'd be very surprised if you can't get more than 50 interested customers.

Me too, provided postage costs are not eye watering.

For anyone who would like to follow Dave's request to write a letter to Humble Bundle's CEO demanding payout to Aardvark-Vanaheim, their headquarters address is 163 Freelon St, San Francisco, CA 94107 USA

Huh. Sounds like, apart from some specialty runs, the remastered books are finished; the ones we have so far are all we're going to get. I understand the economics but it's a damned shame.
