Given the recent discussions about a possible Cerebus Statue on AMOC (here, here and here), I thought I'd throw in the above Hellboy Resin Statue into the mix. Maybe 'resin' would be better suited for Cerebus too? Thoughts anyone?

here are some cost breakdowns in my experience with Cerebus statues http://whatcomix.blogspot.com/2016/09/what-cerebus-action-figure-statue.html
As a non-statue type person, can anyone explain to me the difference (i.e. in quality, robustness etc) between plastic, vinyl and resin. Which would be optimal for a Cerebus statue? Also, of the options that Oliver describes, presumably the end product is highly dependant on the quality of the initial model-maker. Given that Cerebus 'evolved' over the years that Dave drew him, what are the odds of a non-Cerebus fan hitting the optimal sweet-spot for all Cerebus fans? To me George and Dean's statue doesn't look quite right, so what hope for anyone else?

Daniel and I worked directly with Dave to model the Cerebus we have.

Hi Tim - You're not a statue guy. I'm not either. I do have a SWAMP THING statue that Michael Zulli sculpted -- and John S of NC gave me -- in the office. It's a gorgeous piece of work. But I'd really rather see a Zulli DRAWING of SWAMP THING any day.
Hi George - There are still flaws. You really can't do a 3D piece from 2D drawings no matter how many angles you draw it from (personal opinion). I'm looking forward to seeing your next try and working with it! But I tend to agree with Tim that the odds of hitting the optimal sweet spot for ALL Cerebus fans is pretty remote. Even MOST. Eve MANY. But, we'll do what we can.
HI Dave...
In my opinion... the ONLY sweet spot is your mind...
I am reviewing all the online notes you have... check them twice... :)
The next one will be THE size...
and speaking of sweet spot...
and I am going to build it out as OPTIONS...
with or without shield... just pull the non-shield arm and insert the shield arm... or visa-versa...
one thing that is sticking... how big or small is the snout for the next version?
George
