Not much to say other than that these are the mock-ups for the pages, pending Dave's approval. Dave had asked me to include my version of what I would have The Clerk saying, but these notes about my general intention for each page are as far as I feel comfortable going.
I also just sent Dave a thumb-drive with all of the photos we took so he can mock up his own pages if he sees fit. I suspect he might have wanted physical copies of the photos but I don't have the time or resources to print out 250'ish photographs.

Wow.
Just...
Wow.
I think, off the top of my head, two things, Carson:
This *could* be a great addition to the narrative, and;
If this gets published, or even if it doesn't, these scenes of your friend could dovetail nicely, in a strange way, with the Margaret Mitchell "glamour" material.
Just thinkin' out loud here...
This is fascinating. I can't wait to see the final drawn pages.
Thank guys!
Jeff, the dovetail with the Glamour was exactly the idea. Also, not gonna lie that I got paranoid about drawing its attention and was trying to write my way out of the curse ;)
Carson - the thumb drive arrived today and I'm already a couple of pages in. Definitely a major relief to know that we are now FINISHING SDOAR pages and moving towards a fully completed Volume One.
I'm "tweaking" what you've done, but I was pretty confident that we could do this Marvel-style -- you "draw" the pages and I write them -- and HEY! It turns out that I was right. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the top half of your first "transition between #1 and #2" page and, by the time I was done with that, I knew what I wanted to do with the second page. Can't cut out and paste up images and word balloons fast enough. Biggest decision now is "add in two more pages and stick with the four"?
And, yes, I'm ALSO working to write you and Jack out of the Alex Raymond "curse". Best piece of advice: eschew adultery! And fornication.
Sandeep will be e-mailing you the pasted up pages as I complete them.
Anybody looking for a good "soundtrack" for this part of SDOAR, check out the video for "Take On Me" by A-ha.
Dave,
Glad to hear it worked out as you hoped. I look forward to getting your versions and going to work!
Regarding the curse: In that case, I should be good ;) I hit the place of just appreciating what you call "the aesthetic moment" a number of years ago. Much simpler flow of life that way. Turning to a student/former student to find that moment was unsettling, however, given the ethical ramifications of "fraternizing with students" and the odd little power plays that happen when you are/have been in a position of authority over someone.
