Cerebus Around the World and Web #21 by Oliver Simonsen

Hi, Everybody!

Attractive Cousins!

VARK WARS: WALT'S EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

The four different High Societys.

But with Diamond being closed, I don't know how any of that works.

But, if you wanna read a free issue of Cerebus in Hell?, "Merry Christmas!"...or something......

And there might be a sequel soon.

This week 16 years ago was the last issue of "Cerebus" and now this week possibly the last hardcopy issue of "Cerebus in hell?", the parody themed "Varking Dead"...eerily fitting for the times.

Jeffrey Tundis says Dave said "swen-shuss"
others:
Trademark Elliott: I say soo-WEN-tee-us, but for a while I said soo-WEN-chuss.
Cal Davis: Anyone else saying "SWEN-chuss"?
William Hoffknecht: I always read it as Swen-tee-us.
Charles Allen: Sue n. Chuss
Joshua Even: Soon-teh-us?
Jon Rice Swintus is how i say it
Cory Foster: When I was a kid, I said "Soo-EN-tee-us". My best guess at this point is "soo-en-TAY-us"

Thanks, Matt. Thank you, Oliver.

Don't know what lies in store for CIH? in the coming months. Yet, I must say that I have been having a blast volunteering to help spread the word about it. Now, it's welcome distraction for me from the stark reality all of us are facing.

I think all of the recent zombie craze in relation to what's happening now is interesting. Similarly, over on Asian film maker Lulu Lang's Twitter page, someone was tweeting and asking openly, Did anyone else think it was weird that Parasite the movie did so well with the Academy (As are Asian K Pop bands lately), seeing Lulu's popular movie The Farewell also was a strange coincident. If I used a Cerebus analogy though, I guess I'd say, Still, concerning our futures, something fell in this world a lot more long ago than, when Cerebus off of his foot stool 16 years ago, that's killing us. The Ricks and whoever else wasn't there with him (There's a question? How many others did make it?) will make it. The rest will join Cerebus in hell. Still, thanks Matt,I'd forgotten this was the anniversary week.

Oh,I forgot, Lulu Lang actually tweeted back to me and Dave Sim kind of has something to do with it, because I'd remembered him once commenting to someone (Gee, your keen memory probably remembers exactly, how do you remember this stuff like the one issue you recently told someone casually, Oh, it was in that one story.), who had said they liked a cover to some Cerebus issue, and Dave Sim, who I'd thought probably heard that one a lot with all the rest of his fandom, replied back in thanks and told her one might be surprised at how his cover art had often no mention at all.

Lulu had just done a previous post asking anyone for suggestions on what the difference was between a villian and an anti-hero was. So, I gave my opinion, but in my next tweet to her, asked her how the speech had gone. She tweeted back, Good and thanks for asking.
