Based on 48 Weber Street East where Deni and I first lived together between March 1977 and March 1978 and where the first few issues of CEREBUS were drawn. I asked Leon Bensason, Kitchener's Heritage Planner, if there were any photographs of the building (it was torn down to put up the office building that's there now) which was on Weber Street between Frederick and Scott Streets, about three doors down from Scott Street. No such luck. There were actually three buildings in a row that looked roughly alike: white boxes with offices downstairs and residences upstairs.

When we were starting JAKA'S STORY I basically described (or did a floor plan, I forget which) for Gerhard of the apartment. That's the bedroom on the cover of JAKA'S STORY #4. The little "guest room" where Cerebus stayed was my studio where I drew the early issues.
