On the back of my Dark Narutobus copy, the madlibs boilerplate claims it's Cerebus Archive Number 59 (but the 46th copy ordered). What is this number referring to? I didn't buy the portfolio. Was it supposed to be paired with the same number portfolio for someone else?
And hey, Matt, if your copy is unsigned, does that mean the back side is not filled in? Is this something Dave is offering to make them mintier?

I wonder if anyone received multiple ones. If there was a 1 in 4 chance maybe someone lucked out with 2 prizes.
I had a similar experience with the envelope and a few other people that I know of. It may be necessary to stick two large pieces of cardboard around the contents or move to a sturdier envelope. I also heard of at least one corner ding. Corner dings come from delivery persons that we all love and appreciate but wish they would not ding our corners (Dave will replace these if you send the damaged items back to him and reimburse your shipping).
Michael, the 59 should be your CAN number. Mine is 115, but I only got it on two copies and then an unnumbered issue that Dave wrote "Undocumented Alien!" on and a set of all three signed #2/3 and one of those is a Proof. Short version - 2 of each cover with odd numbers.
Unsigned copies are SUPER rare.
No prizes for me, but I wasn't eligible.
I'll be discussing the next Kickstarter with Dave tomorrow and we will be doing either 2 or 3 campaigns this year. Variant cover nonsense ends now. One Kickstarter cover and one Comic Shop cover (additional covers may still be printed on backing boards as Dave suggests).
Got mine - had to go in to the local UPS office & sign for it as I wasn't home when the truck came. I wonder if it was the Canadian Postie strike that made them switch? I think it's always been USPS before, who would just leave it inside the screen door if I wasn't home.
Anyway, all I got was the portfolio - and my main takeaway? MAN do I love me some Eddie Campbell!
