Sexy, right? Want it? Well, good news if you're gonna be in Toronto this weekend. Lemme backtrack a bit:
Hello Matt,
I hope this message finds you well. For the last 90 days here at the Studiocomix Press Central we have been preparing our next call for action.
As a little bit of a background, here at the Studiocomix Press Central we have been serving the local, Canadian and Global comic book industry since 2005 by continuously helping comic book creators to help print and bring their comic book ideas into reality. Thanks to interest from comic book creators, illustrators and visual artists, by 2017 Studiocomix Press opened its first physical retail store, offering print services dedicated to comic books and promotional products and creating a hub of creativity where artists and the general public alike can approach our staff to learn the best ways to bring their ideas to print. All in the creative environment that only a comic book can offer as an inspiration.
In addition to our print services, we also have a storefront where regular consumers can purchase comic books, back issues, and toys, but most importantly they can have access to a large selection of indie comics.
For the last 7 years we have work with an extensive list of established comic book creators, and have had the opportunity to kickstart hundreds of new creators, all while helping newer creators to continue their published work.
With the recent news of changes and modifications that might begin to affect the current comic book consumer market due to the social and financial developments in our country and abroad, and having seen for myself that we have a great lineup of artist creators and creations in Canada, I and the rest of the Studiocomix Press Team, now located in various parts of Canada, Spain and Mexico are working hard on the Great North Creators indie Calatog.
Our main mission has two goals:
- To provide more points of sale for a comic book title, giving the creator access to more comic book stores, book stores, and other retail points digital and physical.
- To offer Canadian comic book stores (and those abroad) new and previously published products that can be easily brought in for retail at the stores.
So over the last 90 days we have been preparing this initiative, and are soft launching this weekend at Toronto Comicon 2025 to begin promoting ourselves and adding to the current list of already on-board stores (approximately 7 at the time of writing). We have about 30 to 40 publishers with multiple titles who have already signed up with us, giving us an active catalogue of approximately 200+ indie comic titles.
Our first batch of comics are in a catalogue that is already being distributed to comic book stores across Canada. And we have a scheduled release of a second catalog by the end of the month.
Dave, generously donated a fantastic image of Cerebus for the Great North Creators launch and has given us permission to use it for a variety of different items. But first Dave suggested we make them available in some way during TCC2025 and we came up with this plan...
We will bring 5 of the prints to Toronto Comic Con, where the general public will be able to purchase tickets for a raffle. We will be located at booth #2222 and are offering tickets at:
$2.50 for one ticket$5.00 for 10 tickets
The tickets are good for the whole weekend, and we will draw :
1 winner on Friday
2 winners on Saturday
2 winners on Sunday

The other 5 prints will be available to the world through our eBay account. The below listings will be live at 12 on Friday and the auction will close at 12 Sunday
The name of the listings will be :
ULTIMATE CEREBUS (2012) Limited Edition Print -Fundraising for GNC #6 of 10

Coming to eBay. I'll let you know once I find out they're up... |
We're excited for the chance to bring these to Toronto Comic Con this weekend! We didn't expect Dave to so generously support our initiative with his donation, but quickly got to work and we will update you in the next few days.
Keep you posted.![]()

A Moment of Cerebus runs Saturday through Friday.
The Week in AMOC:
- Saturday: Please Hold For Dave Sim 3/2025
- Sunday: The Please Hold After Party. Holy shit it was a blast, Elrod made Black Sun cocktails, Jen almost broke her leg dancing on the bar, Margaret got locked in the Executive bathroom and Hobbs had to break her out. I don't think those guacamole stains are EVER coming out of the carpet. Damn...you really should have been there...
- Monday: No The Monday Report until the end of Ramadan, and I'm posting the glamourpuss SDOAR pages...
- Tuesday: Jen's posted all the Dave and Carson pages of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond, and has moved on to the mock-ups Dave produced after that. Donate to The Strange Death of Alex Raymond GoFundMe to see Dave's mock-ups for the next 400 pages (eventually). $135 until page 110 of Dave's POST-Carson SDOAR mock-up pages unlocks. AND GoFundMe has a MONTHLY option now, so you can schedule a reoccurring donation.
- Wednesday: Hobbs previews upcoming Cerebus in Hell? content. That's like his job around here and stuff...this time, an upcoming variant cover with it's own variant...
- Thursday: Margaret's IS done with Albatross One. If you click that link, you can see all the pages of the notebook, OR, you can get a PHYSICAL copy here, anyway not knowing where to head next, Margaret has decided to go with the LAST notebook, from page one to the end. Currently: Issue #280-281.
- Friday: that's this post. You're reading the Friday post right now. This is STILL like that bit in Spaceballs. (Should I link to LAST WEEK'S Update in these things?)
Okay, so that was the past week in AMOC. You're welcome.

So I guess I should check out that new Canadian indie comics catalog! Is that Craig Ferguson the former late night host?
Also, I’ve been wondering about the Diamond bankruptcy, are the A-V books they have stored for Dave, to ship to stores, going to be sold off in the bankruptcy auction? Is Dave going to have to take a loss if the phone books etc get sold off/ considered a Diamond asset? I don’t know how a bankruptcy like this would work.
