I got mail!

Hi, Everybody!

I got mail!

As anybody paying attention knows, The Waverly Press has produced "Wax Packs", packaging simulated to resemble the trading card packaging of our Youth (as long as you're an old @#*! like me... You younger guys and your stickin' Mylar don't know what you were missing...).

Well, I got a set sent to me because It's Good to be the King...
There were a couple of extras of the one...
Closer for inspection:

I also got a set that's been sealed:

You can get your own from The Waverly Press's eBay store.
The NEWEST thing they've added it a box to store them in ( i can't show you mine, since I haven't gotten it yet, but here it is on eBay.
As they told me:
There are only 50 of these wax pack box sets available.
Also in the mail, I got my winnings from Heritage Auctions. There was a lot of promo posters that I threw a token bid of $37 as a lark, and apparently, nobody was really interested, because I won it for $30 ($59 with the $29 buyers premium added on... And the shipping... I think I'm done playing "Auction Chicken" at Heritage...). I guess this all belonged to the same guy, because everything is personalized by Dave to "Lon Allen"

When I first got the package, I was half tempted to send everything to Dave to use as puzzle card prizes on a future CAN portfolio, or Jen to use as GoFundMe raffle prizes, but somebody on the facebook group said I should keep 'em (somebody else said to send 'em to them. Haha wiseguy...) I think I'll hang on to everything for now...

Our very own Jen DiGiacomo is part of a film production titled The Day Elvis Died. She'll never ask anybody here, but they're crowdfunding to finish the post production on the movie. (It's set in 1977, will a certain obscure Canadian cartoon aardvark make a cameo? (No. Elvis died in August. Cerebus wasn't published until December. Any appearance in the flick would be an anachronism that would ruin the movie for everybody. EVERYBODY!).) Here's the first trailer
