Managed to get five more CEREBUS IN HELL? strips done yesterday (July 15). Sandeep did finished versions of all of the August strips ready for posting. Twelve days left to the final order cut-off for CEREBUS IN HELL? #0. The question keeps coming up: are these going to be reprints of the online strips? No, #0 and the theoretical #1-4 miniseries are strictly print versions. The idea is that the online strips are to be used to promote #0. "If you like these, you'll probably like those".

We really appreciate the volunteers who are willing to Photoshop finished strips from my mock-ups. If we can have even three reliable people doing 2 strips a week, that means Sandeep can go back to writing and Photoshopping his own strips instead of finishing mine.

I'm definitely paranoid about falling off-schedule with the strips. With any daily strip, you're "running ahead of the freight train" so maintaining lead-time is king.

The Final Order Cut-Off on CEREBUS IN HELL? #0 will help make the decision about "where we go from here". If we can sell 1,000-2,000 of them we'll probably lose money, but we'll still publish #0 and not publish the mini-series. The mini-series will just change from four 22-page issues into 88 CEREBUS IN HELL? online inventory (roughly three months of daily strips).

THEN we'll just keep going with the daily on-line strip using it (hopefully) to drive traffic to CerebusDownloads on a daily basis and entertain people here at AMOC on a weekly basis. And just let the inventory of strips increase over however long.

The challenge as always is Cerebus being LARIV -- anti-viral. Would it help if AMOC viewers tweeted CEREBUS IN HELL? strips? Or posted them on Facebook? No idea, but as with everything else I've done I'm quite open to people using my work to help promote my work.

I just don't know if it's possible.

But hopefully Funny Friday will stay Funny Friday around here. Sandeep and I making each other laugh and then...

...waiting for the next Funny Friday. And letting the inventory of strips build.
