Since Jen is AW...not around, glamourpuss part 2: "A Thesbian Tavern Tramp Drunk!"

Hi, Everybody!

Life Hack: Don't hire a thespian to do blog posts for you...
Not THAT kind of Thespian...

Anyway, Jen's off living the High Life, so I'm back having to "do" Tuesdays until she comes back. IF she comes back... Speaking of which, I received:

Note from the Interim Head of SDOAR Division

Mea culpa.

I know we like to say, "Mistakes were made," around here, but that's not the case this time.

From Wikipedia: Mea culpa (/ˌmeɪ.əˈkʊl.pə/) is a phrase of Latin origin that means my fault or my mistake, and is an acknowledgment of having done wrong. The expression is also used as an admission of having made a mistake that should have been avoided and, in a religious context, may be accompanied by symbolically beating the breast when uttering the words.

Consider my breast beaten.

I made the critical mistake of thinking that I had my life under control when I decided to do a one-woman show in Edinburgh.

Mea culpa.

I won't bore everyone with everything on my plate, because, let's face it, these days? Everyone's got it rough. Suffice it to say, I don't think things are going to slow down in 2026, so thank you to Manly for picking up the slack.

What I will try to do is let folks know what I have done in the past week as it relates to The Strange Death of Alex Raymond.

Everything that isn't mentioned, well, assume I haven't gotten to it yet, be that emails I haven't responded to, raffle prizes not mailed, or Giant-Size Ashcan edits from Philip R. Frey that I have not reviewed. It's all on a list for me to work on, even post-it noted all around my apartment in NYC. All I can say is that I'll get to things as soon as I have a spare minute.

So since the last time you heard from Jen, (drumroll please), she has ...

... uploaded two new pages to Dropbox that have been unlocked:
Page dated 2/21/2022 >> GFM-125-380-347-2022-02-24-0002.jpg
Page dated 2/22/2022 >> GFM-126-381-348-2022-02-24-0003.jpg
... been corresponding with Rolly about something secretive that Dave Sim asked her about.
... updated the GoFundMe title to: Strange Death of Alex Raymond 2026
... raised fundraising goal to $24,000.
... ordered and received mailers for all Silverspoon pages.
... alerted the first raffle winner that they won a Silverspoon page of their choice.
... panicked when said winner emailed back under the mistaken belief that the Silverspoon page was original art and not simply the newsprint page from The Buyer's Guide for Comic Fandom.
... further panicked that maybe all the raffle ticket buyers were under the same impression.
... started writing a response when a second email from said raffle winner arrived.
... got sucked into rehearsals and did literally nothing until Manly Matt took over the Tuesday updates.

<sigh>

So after last week, Philip R. Frey commented on the faceybooks:
Poke me next week if you need something and I'll put together a "State of the Project" from my perspective.
And I said:
your column is due Monday. "BRING ME PICTURES OF SPIDER-MAN!!!"
Needless to say,  I did not, ahem..."poke"...him. So I got nothing about that. (I think Jen admitted the ball is in her court, and she is how you say, otherwise engaged...)

So, picking up from last time, or as I usually say in these situations:
This.

Then:

Next time: Cih?, Margaret, Dave's Weekly Update, whatever crap I can whip up before I leave for the weekend, The Monday Report, and then Next week, glamourpuss!
