Hi, Everybody!
Like it says on the Logo:
Dave's Weekly Update:
Well, it's been a week, and we's all now updated, right?
HAHAHA! Nah man, there's a Kickstarter going on!
So many Kickstarters. Come Monday, the Cerebus the Aardvark #1 (and Spawn #10) en Español will be "finito". If you're in Mexico, you can see the exhibition they're putting on:
Likewise, Telesforo and Hilario have mounted an exhibition for this historic event, the exhibition “Discovering Cerebus” in the lobby of the theater of the #ccubuap if you are in Mexico. Discover it until May 22 at @ccubuap from 9:00 hrs - 18:00 hrs, free admission.
BUAP University Cultural Complex
Atlixcáyotl 2299, Atlixcáyotl Territorial Reserve, 72810 Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, Pue.
Send pics if you go.
And the CAN13/CiH? Kickstarter ends in twelve days, and they've discovered that Kickstarter's policy of "unlimited" Add-Ons means a hundred. You can add-on a hundred things. So some of the proofs have been removed, and more Original Art has taken their place. Act now, or live in regret...
Friend to the Blog, Steve Peters has a new Comicverse issue on Kickstarter, with a variant cover from OTHER Friend to the Blog, James Banderas-Smith. HE'S added more rewards including more sketch covers which could in turn end up in future issues. That Steve's a genius...
And, while not a Kickstarter, I'm making the attempt to get the Pud's Tavern Logo on the kid's Dance team's merch.
Okay, back to "bizness as usual"...
___________________________A Moment of Cerebus runs Saturday through Friday.
The past Week in AMOC:
- Saturday: NOT Please Hold For Dave Sim 5/2026... (I'm thinking since Dave's sorta changed the format, I might change the name to Please PAY For Dave Sim...) Dave begins his reconstruction of the 1982 Tour Book. And goes over some of his Birthday gifts. AND a walkthrough of the Cerebus the Aardvark #1 (and Spawn #10) en Español Exhibition with Copyright Infringing Music that means you probably didn't get to see it, so let's try this one:
- And Dave's CONTINUING the Please PAY For Dave Sim format. If you want more '82 Tour Book discussion, go HERE, and pay for "Dave Sim 82 Tour Book". But if you'd rather hear more stereotypical Please Hold (*shudder*) "content", go HERE and pay for "Please Hold For Dave Sim". Either way, I have to amuse myself in the Editing Suite assembling these things... (wanna find out how many of these I already own? Then you're gonna wanna pay for more '82...)
- Sunday: Henrot.
- Monday: The Monday Report, and I clear up a mistake from the Kickstarter about a couple of the '82 Tour prototypes.
- Tuesday: Since Jen was doing the next two shows, I'm back posting on Tuesdays... Still posting to help raise funds on The Strange Death of Alex Raymond GoFundMe, $190 until page 131 of Dave's POST-Carson SDOAR mock-up pages unlocks. Anyway, I'ma post ALL of glamourpuss over the next how many weeks. AND GoFundMe has a MONTHLY option now, so you can schedule a reoccurring donation. Jen *SAYS* she's gonna have an Update next week, but I'll believe it when I see it...
- Wednesday: MORE Weekly Cerebus in Hell? Strips. This one is written by Dave. Follow along on Instagram. And https://www.ebay.com/itm/236664955396 (Somebody was looking for the Vardalorian...) And not to be "THAT GUY", but if you're doing a weekly comic strip to (in part) promote your comical bookee, wouldn't you link to the latest Kickstarter that has the newest issue? Especially since that's the only way to get the damn things now that your former distributor has gone "tits up", and therefore Kickstarter is the only way for your fans to get their "fix"? Seems like a dereliction of duty to me... Somebody should write a strongly worded letter to the Editor about this. (I know Birdsong made all these posts months ago, and therefore didn't know WHEN the Kickstarter was gonna be live. So it's not that big a deal... If only this website had an Editor in Chief or something that could handle these things... Maybe if everybody asks Santa for one this Christmas...)
- Thursday: Margaret has posted ALL of Albatross One. (If you click that link, you can see all the pages of the notebook, OR, you can get a PHYSICAL copy here.) And all of The Last Notebook. Now she's gonna burn through all of Notebook #21. So sit back and get ready for pages and pages and pages of walls of handwritten text... This week, More Viktor Davis!
- Friday: that's this post. You're reading the Friday post right now. This is STILL like that bit in Spaceballs. (Should I link to LAST WEEK'S Update in these things?)
Okay, so that was the last week on AMOC.
