Hi, Damian! Yes. No question about it. I think it's particularly true for CEREBUS fans because so much of the book was ALWAYS in the distant future. And then the not-too-distant future. When this one came out there was still 8 years to go -- but 18 years accomplished.
I don't know of too many people who thought "Someday, this is going to seem like a LONG time ago."
Some day -- around 2100 -- the last CEREBUS fan who read issue 300 when it came out will die.
And the award for "Most Feel Good Sentence - board posting" goes to Dave Sim, for "Some day -- around 2100 -- the last CEREBUS fan who read issue 300 when it came out will die."

These posts could be titled "Today In Making You Feel Old".

Congratulations, Dave!

No harm meant to the rest of you, but I hope it's me!

Let's see, I was...24, 4 months shy of turning 25 when 300 came out. I know I got to the comic store the day that issue came out.
I would be 120 when it changes to 2100. Methinks 2100 is a bit optimistic for the last of us to survive until, but one never knows, huh?
