Dave Sim's Notebooks: The Post Listing

MARGARET LISS:
A few years ago I scanned all of Dave Sim's notebooks. He had filled 36 notebooks during the years he created the monthly Cerebus series, covering issues #20 to 300, plus the other side items -- like the Epic stories, posters and prints, convention speeches etc. A total of 3,281 notebook pages detailing his creative process. I never really got the time to study the notebooks when I had them. Just did a quick look, scanned them in and sent them back to Dave as soon as possible. So this regular column is a chance for me to look through those scans and highlight some of the more interesting pages.

Here is an overview of the notebook posts done so far. If there is something from the notebooks that you'd like to see, mention it in the comments.

Are there any plans to collect all the notebook scans as a book or ebook? I think that might sell a few copies and bring in a few bucks to A-V, as well as being of interest to fans, scholars, and historians.

Margaret, I know that the sound of a one-legged cricket trying to rub its legs together, up there in Massachussetts, is deafening, but that dull roar you're almost, but not quite hearing is applause for all of what you've done. The cricket, in his own way, is applauding, too.

All of it.

See you in Columbus for Ger?
