Pieces of Turtles 8: American Edition now on the Kickstarter!

Hi, Everybody!

Guess what came in the mail yesterday?
Heh..."69"...
The other nine copies are...all gone.

But good news for you guys and gals that missed out:

The American Pieces of Turtles 8 Kickstarter is up and running:
Coming January 2023, the REMASTERED TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES No. 8 Kickstarter. Coming in February 2022 -- like, TODAY -- PIECES OF TURTLES 8, Dave Sim's first fanzine in nearly 50 years! Dave had completely forgotten that TMNT 8 is 45 FREAKING PAGES LONG. Dave let Kevin Eastman off his leash -- "Fly and Be Free, Little Turtle" (to mix several metaphors) -- and fly he did. It's so well written you don't even notice how many pages you're reading: just that it's OVER TOO SOON! But that poses a problem for Dagon James' Waverly Press, Sean Robinson's Living The Line and/or Aardvark-Vanaheim (whoever ends up doing the Kickstarter). How much extra material can you get into a book that's already a MINIMUM 45 pages long? So PIECES OF TURTLES 8 is the planning stages of that. "Here's what I would include." With more PIECES OF TURTLES 8 coming from A-V in 2022 if this one is successful.

Each copy will be signed and numbered by Dave Sim. The earliest SEQUENTIAL NUMBER is available based on when you order. Dave is happy to add your personal CEREBUS ARCHIVE NUMBER, personalized messages, just a signature or nothing at all. Yes, you can get it Un-Signed and Un-Numbered. At the end of this campaign you will receive a Kickstarter survey with space provided for you to let Dave know EXACTLY how you would like your copy(ies) signed.

So, what exactly is PIECES OF TURTLES 8? With a wealth of behind the scenes material to choose from and limited space to show it, this is Dave Sim's opportunity to share as much of it as possible leading up to the Remastered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles No. 8 a year from now. Some of this material may never see the light of day again outside of this (these?) special issue(s).
And there's SPECIAL add-ons:
From the Cerebus Archive comes the few remaining copies of the original Cerebus volumes. These are not remastered volumes. They are early printings signed by Dave Sim and Gerhard and then stored away. Once these are gone, your chances of getting volumes signed by both Dave & Ger go way down, but way up, price-wise. Just sayin'.
It's gonna be magical, head over and see.

Not a Ponzi scheme or an attempt to burn the world.

Will any of the Cerebus Archive Portfolios (#'s) be offered as add-ons or as rewards to this Kickstarter campaign?

By the way I just received my "Pieces of Turtles 8" Canadian Edition in the mail today.

Tell Dave thanks.

*sigh*

I know, always the contrarian...

...but the signed editions of the phone books typically sell for less on eBay than what Dave has here ~~ but, let's hope they all do sell and bring in some nice cash to the OffWhite House garage sale!

If anyone happens to have Pieces of Turtles 8 signed/numbered #103 (if such issue exists), I'd love to buy or trade for it. For trades: I have signed/numbered 24,25 and 26 or an unsigned/unnumbered. Also willing to consider other trade offers...let me know!
