Cerebus Around the World and Web #47 by Oliver Simonsen

Hi Everybody!

Order HERMANN #1! (The NEW CiH?), buy Batvark: PENIS on the 30th, check out the new Cerebus masks and whatnots, Signed copies of Vark Wars: Walt's Empire Strikes Back (Signed by Dave, Signed by Dave and me, Signed by me after I scribble out Dave's name, Pretty much available Signed only...), don't forget cerebusoverload.com the Wilf Jenkins Collection available from Looking For Heroes, for $10 (CAD) plus $4 dollars shipping to Canada and $5 dollars shipping to the USA. All the money goes to the Food Bank of the Waterloo Region

Good news about the Kickstarter for Dave and Carson Grubaugh's You Don't Know Jack, (which has an Indiegogo, I guess...):
Helllooooo Backers!

The moment we have all been waiting for is here. The books are in and they look awesome!

Thank you all so much for helping us make this possible.

I have been signing and prepping books as they come in so when YDKJ itself arrived on Friday me and Torie were able to jump right into packaging, printing labels, etc.

The first batch of packages should go out Monday.

Those of you who we have already generated a label for should be getting, or have already gotten, an email with your USPS tracking number. Hopefully all the shenanigans going on with the USPS lately do not affect the speedy delivery of everyone's books. Keep an eye on your shipment and please let us know if there are issues.

The international orders and more individualized orders should start getting labels in the next couple of days.

HEADS UP:

As I was signing copies of YDKJ I customized a small amount of copies at random, so keep an eye out for these one-of-a-kind, hopefully entertaining, customizations.

Thanks again and please do let us know what you think of the books as you get them!

Carson Grubaugh

In the comments John Glismann: Was this part of “Operation Crazed Ferret”?
Margaret Liss responds: wow that name took me back. I remember that website. It went 'dead' in the early 2000s, but thanks to the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/...//www.wraithspace.com/Cerebus/
When the sites went off line, I uploaded what I could to the CFG website, so some stuff is also here, perhaps in a bit easier to read format: http://www.cerebusfangirl.com/artists/

John Glismann: An ad in a 1985 comic from a store selling some Cerebus stuff, including... Cerebus Jam # 2 (?). I guess they just ASSUMED it would be published at some point. Anyone wanna guess which comic the ad is from?

In the comments John adds:
For the record, the above ad was in Miracleman # 3 from Eclipse Comics (November 1985). By the time Miracleman # 6 came out they must have realized that Cerebus Jam # 2 probably wasn’t happening, so the new ad in that issue looked like this...

Jean Paul: I thought I had lost it (or sold it) years ago. Drawn by Dave Sim in ballpoint pen on a backing board, at Now and Then Books one sunny Saturday afternoon in Kitchener, Ontario in October or November 1986 (it was the Now and Then Books 15th anniversary party, where I first met a very young Peter Birkemoe, before his name was associated to The Beguiling bookstore).
