Sean Michael Robinson:
Greetings all,
I just received word that the binding process was completed on
Church & State I this weekend, which, YAY! it's done, but unfortunately, also means that no one was there to take photos at the facility while it was going on.
But we do have a few pics of the completed book for your enjoyment. And most importantly, the books are being palletized and prepped today, and will most likely leave for their long shipping
journey very, very soon.
More details to follow...

I'm going to need to buy a bigger bookshelf. That thing is huge. Great job!
I already have two copies, but I find this new enormous version calling out to me.
*sigh*
Still no cover credits for Gerhard ...
Steve - I'm with you on that one!!
Gerhard almost seems to be the unspoken of in discussions of Cerebus, yet his skills and abilities improved it in many ways
- Dave could focus more attention on plotting/scripting
- Gerhard was a better architectural draughtsman than Dave - in my opinion anyway
Ah well
Gerhard definitely deserves more discussion.
You're right.
Gerhard has been as much of an inspiration as Dave has to me.
When I'm bored in a meeting I'm generally likely to doodle. At least half the time, that will be crosshatching patches. That's because of Gerhard and seeing the beauty of his work on Cerebus.
I seem to remember reading that he's supplying commentary to the IDW covers book. That will be good.
And I think Dave, when talking about how ignored he is in the comics world should also consider how VERY little is said about Gerhard who is probably one of the best draughtsmen in living memory.
I hope the words 'church and state' on the binding are a little lower, so it looks correct next to the other books.
