Since I saw that CEREBUS and Guinness World Records emblem, I suppose this is the correct place to post this comment…

Let’s see if I understand this correctly, according to the Guinness World Records website, Dave Sim holds the record for “Most consecutive issues of a comic-book drawn and written…”

https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/457643-most-consecutive-issues-of-a-comic-book-drawn-and-written

But, Todd McFarlane holds the record for “Longest-running creator-owned superhero comic book series…”

I got that right?

Yup.

I'm thinking of getting a record of my own "most blog posts about Cerebus by someone with the middle initial 'M'."

It's gonna be great!

Yep, Al, and welcome back! As *someone* once wrote, "There IS a difference."

Dave has been very gracious to Todd, despite Todd's ingracious grandstanding. Nevertheless, the history stands.

One creator, *one* Environmental Artist, *one* writer, *one* penciller, *one* inker (assisted, at times), *two* guys (and a few girlfriends) who made sure to get the shit out the door every month, more or less on time.

As far as Spawn goes, I think that Image and a large cadre did most of the heavy lifting. Meanwhile, the Toddster got to buy a meaningless baseball for, IIRC, $3 mil.

While, all the while, *one* (sorry, *two* guys) kept pluggin' away.

Let credit be afforded where it is due.

I know this is off topic but has the "Remastered Church & State Volume 2" been released yet?

I ordered it from my friendly neighbourhood comic book store in the summer. I haven't heard back.

Yes, I realize I could pick up the phone & talk to them.

Got mine from Page 45 here in England about a week ago.

I had a similar problem to what Glen was describing. Pre-ordered my copy of Church & State II at my LCS in the summer. They said they'd call when it came in but I never heard from the store. Was aware of the delay with Diamond distributing it, pushed back to Sept, if remember correctly. However even then my store didn't call me about my order. Had to physically go to the store this month and order it in person. Got it quickly after that.
