Greetings backers,
As of today about a third of the T8 pledges have shipped and most of your packages should be on their way by the middle of next week. We are still waiting on the 75 More Sleeps, and Pieces of Turtles 8.3 books which are printed but have not yet arrived. Any pledges that contain these books will be held until they arrive.
With 40 variant covers, there were bound to be some errors. First, the blank covers were accidentally printed on glossy cover stock. The printer is sending us another batch on uncoated stock but we probably won't receive them for at least 3 weeks. If you're alright with receiving the glossy cover version then drop us a note and we will go ahead and process your pledge. If we don't hear from you then we will assume you want the uncoated version and will hold your pledge until we receive them. On a related note, Dave Sim finished his hand drawn covers which turned out beautifully on the glossy covers. Here is a sample of one of those covers that Dave sent us, scheduled to arrive in the next few days.
The next error cover is the "Distressed" Turtles #1 "what if..." homage. When the printer set up the printing plates there was an error with the color density. The printer is sending us replacement copies with the corrected cover colors but we don't expect to receive those for about 3 weeks. If you pledged for the "Distressd" set and you're alright with receiveing the error cover then let us know and we will go ahead and process your pledge. If we do not hear from you, we assume you prefer the corrected cover and will hold your pledge until those arrive. The cover on the left is what we expected to receive (being corrected), while cover on the right is the error we received. As you can see, the error and corrected covers are very different.
For those of you waiting for us to launch The Last Day deluxe campaign, we have good news. The Kickstarter campaign goes live in about 2 weeks and we will send out a more detailed blast closer to launch. TLD is ready to go but we want to get most of the Turtles 8 books out the door before going live.

I receieved my T8 items today and am VERY impressed. The books, the cards, it all looks really really good! Thank you everyone for your efforts. I look forward to the next campaign
