Hi, Everybody!
The Bizness:
Living the Line's next Kickstarter with 21 pages of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond in it. Now with Archival Cerebus related offerings.
The Tyrant Kickstarter.
So, yesterday, I wrote up the Cerebus Miscellany. If you go to Margaret's Cerebus FanGirl site. In the Team-ups and Crossovers section, she has a list of Cerebi drawn by Dave that appeared in other publications.
I don't think that collecting all these in a Cerebus Miscellany volume is the best idea, but I have a collection of the Miscellany compiled by Brendan Hunt, that he was kind enough to share with me.

| His introduction says this was complied in 2009. |
He makes some...odd choices. Like only including the bits from TMNT #8 where Cerebus shows up (basically lopping off everything before the page where Cerebus appears.) and Spawn #10 starting with Cerebus showing up.
He also includes:

Anyway, tying this back to the Miscellany and Margaret's list, he's got the page and a panel of Cerebus from Miami Mice #4:
Same with the two pages Dave did in normalman #10:
I mean, it's got shades of "On Governing", but do you need to see it to "get" anything in Church & State?
Remember that untitled Jam from the 95/Not the 95 Tour Book?
I said Cerebus shows up in one panel? Here that panel is:
Another "Cerebus appearance" is the ORIGINAL Cerebus Guide to Self Publishing that had Cerebus on the cover, two panels on the inside front cover, a panel on the inside back cover and one of the two panels from the inside front cover on the back cover. (Brendan has the cover and inside front cover in his Apocrypha, but not the "punchline" panel from the inside back cover. Like I said, I find some of his choices...odd.)
Something Brendan has that I don't see listed on Margaret's list (SHAME ON YOU MAGS!) is this panel from an issue (I have no idea which one) of Flaming Carrot:
As I said, I think Brendan made some odd choices. Like here's the page he has in his Apocrypha:
I THINK this is a sketch from somewhere:Maybe this one too:
I have no idea where this first appeared:
So, yeah. There are OTHER Cerebus appearances that you COULD collect in a Miscellany volume, but they don't really add anything to his story. They're just there.
(In one of his many many objections to a Miscellany Volume, Dave mentioned that there is a segment of fandom that wants EVERYTHING in there. Including convention sketches. We have a name for those kind of fans: Nutbars.)
Next Time: Breaks over, Mondays are back!
