MARGARET LISS:
We’re continuing our look at Dave Sim’s 21st notebook used during the creation of Cerebus #164 to 187. We’ll be looking at this notebook, which there were 260 out of 300 pages scanned, until we’ve seen every single page of it. Well, the pages scanned. If you want to see all of the notebook #21 posts to date, just use the Notebook 21 tag.
~*~~~*~
Last week we finally saw some pages which were not walls of text, and then I pointed you at the post Dialogue from Reads for pages #147 through #149. Today we’re moving forward with page 150, which you guessed it, is another page of text. . .well, it has one paragraph break in it.

The dialogue starts on page 30 of the Reads phonebook, or page #4 of Cerebus #176. I didn’t match it up word for word, but it seems to be very very similar to it, if not exactly it. The text for page 4 of Cerebus #176 continues along the top of the next page of the notebook:

| Notebook #21, page 151 |
The text at this point is deviating a little from the finished text, but the notebook does continue with the next on page four of Cerebus #176. Kind of.

The text on the notebook page discusses Milieu, the Vertigo Horse editor that Victor works with for the publication of Ascension. But the text is a bit different then the finished work. But starting with the second paragraph, the one that Victor mentions Cote d’Azur to Milieu that matches pretty closely to page 34 of Reads, page 8 of Cerebus #176. Including Victor talking about gossip.
The next page of the notebook continues the discussion of gossip which is also on page 8 of Cerebus #176:

Something tells me the next couple of pages of this notebook will be more walls of text. . .
