Oh crap! The Boss is back, everybody look busy!
And normally this is where I'd run a Please Hold transcript, but I wanna answer a comment from the other day...
So when I discussed the Cerebus Miscellany, Richard P commented:
It works, but it also doesn't work...
The best version I've seen was the Flash animations Jeff Tundis had on his Cerebus page (I'd link to them, but they don't work anymore...). There are also links to online versions at this old post from "the good ol' days" when Tim ran the joint... Anyway, Brendan's version is another one of those "odd" choices to me. He doesn't include the cover:
Other possible inclusions.....
The Frost Giant's Wedgie
Cerebus Animated Portfolio (Add One Mummified Bat, His First Sword, A Well Equipped Bar)
Normalman #10
Working back'ards, I discussed normalman #10 yesterday.
As to the Animated Cerebus, it's a bit of a headache. The three "stories" are told through forty-five plates. That's either forty-five more pages, or you have to get creative...
Which is what Brendan Hunt did in his Cerebus Apocrypha:

And The Frost Giants' Wedgie could be considered a Print (because it was sold as an 11x17 print. I know, I have/had one (I might have sent it to Spatula...). And we're not including prints...)

Cerebus the Aardvark #1 (and Spawn #10) en EspaƱol (I know it's in a language you might not read, but it'll be highly collectable if they only do this one Kickstarter... Plus, you aren't a REAL Spawn completist if you don't have a copy of EVERY variant...)
Living the Line's next Kickstarter with 21 pages of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond in it. Now with Archival Cerebus related offerings.
I had reason to email Gerhard about something, and I mentioned the Tyrant Kickstarter, which he was the original colorist on the covers, and said:
In the future, if you need money, you could think about doing an Artist's Edition collection of "Ger's Least Hated Cerebus Pages". Printing at size the Original Art pages you like the most. Pick the 100 or so pages, write a little commentary on what you like about 'em, Kickstarter the whole package and "Bob's your uncle"...to which he replied:
Or, ya know, don't.
Glad to see that Steve is doing so well on his Kickstarter. So don't be expecting a Gerhard led Kickstarter in this lifetime...
As for me doing a Kickstarter... I'd sooner have a molten lead enema than go through that.
Thanks for thinking of me, though.
Next Time: You don't care, you want that Cerebus page...
