The cover blurb makes me think of Steve Martin's character Navin R. Johnson in "The Jerk":

"I don't need anything....except this chair...and this Thermos...and this paddle-ball game...and this crutch....and this bag..."

That Charlie Brown business was comedic genius.

Oh, I love "The Jerk", Jim! Nice reference. "I don't need one other thing I need this"

14 years? Grr. It was bad enough to think of Cerebus Archive being half that far back. Why do I still think I'm just in my early 20s, then? (Except for my knees. I got old man knees already....)

Jim made a reference to me? Oh, no ... wait ... I see now.

I never really "got" the whole Charlie Brown shirt thing. Is it something that, if you don't get it, it can't be explained? Or can someone try to help me out here?

Travis: I recall Dave explained that when Cerebus is founding what is essentially a fascist movement, he puts on a (Charlie) Brownshirt; the Brownshirts, of course, were the paramilitary arm of the Nazi party. Not one of Dave's better jokes -- it reaches too hard for the pun.

Huh. If that's "comedic genius" then we'll need to find another name for Basil Fawlty goose-stepping..."How did they ever win?"
