OR, a Gold edition of Birthday card #1 signed by NEAL ADAMS and DAVE SIM with NO STAMP. Or, OR, a print of the Cover to GREEN DANTE/GREEN VIRGIL #1 (Pretend you're Seiler. Wanna give Dave and David And Davjamin... er, Benjamin, and Sean the monies, but don't wanna deal with the hassle of going to a comicbook store and tracking down a copy of the latest Cerebus in Hell? One-Shot (The LGBTQetc. People is the next one coming,)? Well, we've got you covered.
If you're in the market to dress like Dave Sim, you can buy a "Matt D's A Moment of Cerebus" t-shirt right here. Or, if you're one of those nostalgia buffs who likes the earlier funnier A Moment Of Cerebus posts, the Tim W. Logo is available too.
The remastered Volume 1 is available digitally for $9.99.
If you want this:
Bidding's at $19.88 (USD), thanks to Larry Wooten! (Unless John Christian's $40 bid IS for Please Hold art, and not for:)
New Dave Sim art! |
If you want EITHER the Please Hold art, OR the New Cerebus art, feel free to comment here, OR send a message to momentofcerebus@gmail.com and say "I WANT __________! And I bid ______! GIMME GIMME GIMME!" and fill in the first blank with which art you want, and the second blank with what you're willing to pay for it.
If you got a couple of extra bucks and want to do a fellow Cerebus fan a solid, Friend of the Blog Mike Battaglia has a go fund me here.
All the Postcard from Hell? #2 surveys are in, and the cards are at the printers. Maybe they're even in the mail, I don't know, nobody tells me anything...

Friend to the Blog Tom Palmer (you guys remember Tom Palmer, right?) sent in:
Hi Matt!
I forgot to send this one to you when I posted it a few weeks ago. I attended the second Small Press Expo back in the day and wrote about it for Wizard #50. Here's the link to my blog post about it in case you want to run it on A Moment of Cerebus:

Also, next Tuesday, I'm going to post my Q&A with Dave from Wizard #58, including some stuff that was left on the cutting room floor.
Here's a professionally edited image from Tom's post. |

And then, Keith Callbeck shared on the Cerebus Facebook group that Part Two of the We Talk Comics interview with Dave is up. They got a link to part one, but so do I.
Next Time: Daddy!!!

Again, Tom Palmer was probably the highlight of Wizard back in the day. I will NOT click on the link (yet) though, because that is a rabbit hole I will fall down and not recover from soon! Sometime when I have "spare time" I'll take a look, though!
Oh Come on Travis,
It's not like you were doing anything for the rest of the month...
Matt
Thanks for sharing the link!
And thanks for listening, Birdsong. We loved doing this interview and felt very lucky that Dave made so much time for us.
I finally had time to sit down (well, I was cooking for some of it) and listen to Part 1 of the We Talk Comics interview. Very, very worthwhile. Interviews like this always run the risk of repeating stuff hardcore fans already know; this one manages to cover even old, well-trodden ground in fresh ways. Dave offers insights on the early days of the direct market, and the joys and pitfalls of complete artistic freedom, that I hadn't quite picked up before, and I've been a pretty dedicated Cerebus fan since 1982.
I also wish to offer "megadittoes" to his remarks on the Amazon/Comixology behemoth at the end of Part I. He articulated very succinctly why it's such a bad idea to get into bed with those whoremongers.
Good stuff. Can't wait to carve out some time to listen to Part 2.
PS Interesting to hear from someone who doesn't like "Jaka's Story." To me it's the jewel in the crown of the whole series.
Shush, you! ;)
