Days of Future Past

Hi, Everybody!

So during the last Please Hold, I asked Dave a question that he answered, but I forgot to put my question up.

Here that is:

If I remember right, an iffy prospect, "Days of Future Past" (the third story in Future Day) was drawn by Gene at the same time as Dave drew Cerebus #1. If I remember the story correctly, Dave was visiting Gene, and they both had headcolds, and they had their backs to each other as they were at their drawing boards, with a 30 gallon garbage can between them and they just kept blowing their noses and throwing the Kleenex over their shoulders.
I remember reading a version of this in an old issue of Wizard.
And Dave answered that.

[Eddie commented: "I think it’s the inside cover to CEREBUS 239 which references the story about drawing their comics and both of them blowing their noses and sounding like Canadian Geese. I think it also references the Wizard issue where the story was told, but I can’t recall off the top of my head." indeed it is. Thanks Eddie. (Everybody should have an Eddie, he can't work a video camera to save his life, but useful in a clutch is ol' Eddie.... -"Manly" Matt.]

But here's "Days of Future Past" from Future Day (Click for bigger):
The cover

The back cover
So, back in 2006-ish, I found three copies of Future Day at a half priced bookstore. I took them to the Ye Bookees of Cerebus art show in Salt Lake City, and was going to have Dave sign them (Dave did the lettering in half of the stories,) and then I was gonna give one to the next two Day Prize winners at SPACE. But when I handed them to Dave, he had never seen one. I told Dave he could have one. He and Ger then spent the next five minutes comparing the back covers to see which had the best copy of Gene's photo (which Dave used in an issue of Cerebus Archive). Which means I only had one copy to give to the next Day Prize winner, which was Steve Peters (it all comes back around.)

The title page of my copy.

Speaking of Gene Day, he once did a cover for Detective Comics:

Well, the new Doctor Who Series is gonna have a variant cover homage:

No photo description available.

Of course, we all know somebody else who did a Doctor Who cover:
