The Last Day returns! And Sean's quest for old titties...BIG old titties...

Hi, Everybody!

The Last Day returns! (Ya know to Diamond. For preorder.)

Which leads to the question: "Will this be getting the Waverly hardcover treatment?"

Ya know like Form & Void got. Speaking of:
PRODUCTION UPDATE #2
Hi backers,

Form and Void is slowly moving into production. Everything has been proofed and approved and the printer is moving as quickly as they can though we are working against paper shortages and supply chain problems. A complex book like this has a lot of moving parts and eats a lot of paper but so far we're still on track to receive the books sometime next month. We will update you when we have an actual delivery date.

Though the delays are minor, we do appreciate everyone's patience. Every backer of Form and Void will receive a bonus 1982 Tour Book promotional trading card and a double sided gold foil F&V bookmark. They are being printed this week and will look like the images below. Hopefully this will make up for having to wait a little longer than expected.

If you are on Instagram, be sure and follow our new Waverly Comics account for the latest news and updates regarding upcoming projects.

Thank you for your support!
Well, that's neat.

Anyway, back to The Last Day, I asked the WP, and was told:
We don't know anything about The Last Day being offered again. But if it's Remastered, we'd like to offer a Super Deluxe Hardcover Edition. But not until after Turtles #8.
So, no Deluxe The Last Day until next year (at the earliest. Turtles #8 is Kickstartering in January, so not for the first Quarter at least... I presume.)

But back to The Last Day (again), Sean faxed Dave, and Dave faxed to me:
So before I threw it to the crowd, I decided to look myself.

The pages in question:

I printed them out and went to my local library, and they didn't have a book on the Sistine Chapel. But they did have a history of art book that had the whole thing in color.

Looking at that I found the first image:

Then I got home and looked on the Internet for the virtual walkthrough

And next to the first image was the second one:

Ya gotta zoom in there:

Look closer:

Dems da old titties Sean wants. (And I'll keep saying that until it stops making me giggle...)

I sent Sean a "map" of what was where:

That walkthrough is pretty amazing.
And to think it was all painted by a turtle with only two fingers and a thumb...

Anyway, Sean didn't wait for ME, and threw it open to the Mob on the Faceybookees.

APPARENTLY, he wasn't looking for WHICH titties it was, he's looking for REAL GOOD SCANS of dem titties. So, if you're a giant turtle-painted-tittie fan, and have REAL GOOD SCANS of dem titties, Sean would be super-appreciative if you sent them to cerebusarthunt@gmail.com. He'll reward ya better than he is for his NEW CONTEST*:
PLAZA art contest, Abolition, Jim Woodring, and more!
Hello friends,

It has been a busy few weeks! Wanted to drop you all a line with some of the most recent goings-on.
First off…

In celebration of Yokoyama Yuichi's PLAZA arriving this week in comic stores across North America, as well as its debut this weekend at SPX, and bookstores next week, Living the Line is holding a small contest. The prize is...some original Yokoyama Yuichi art!

Those of you following our Kickstarter know that Mr. Yokoyama mailed us signed and sketched bookplates for the limited edition of PLAZA. Unbeknownst to me, hidden in the bottom of the same box was an envelope containing a batch of small sketches/preliminary drawings by Yokoyama, the type of doodles that soon fills a cartoonist's studio when they're madly at work. In exchange for promoting the English edition of PLAZA, we'd like to randomly give away a handful of these sketches in a little contest.

THE CONTEST:
Option A: PLAZA REVIEW BONANZA
If you enjoyed PLAZA, please share your excitement with the world by reviewing or rating the book on either:
and then send me a message either on Kickstarter or at livingthelinepublishing@gmail.com to let me know that you did so!

Option B: SOCIAL MEDIA BOOST
If you enjoyed PLAZA, please share something from the book and your thoughts on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, tagging #YOKOYAMAYUICHIPLAZA or #YUICHIYOKOYAMAPLAZA so I can find your post! The more enthusiastic, and the more in the spirit of the book, the better :)
In four weeks (Monday, October 14th), we will scour the above sites for entries in the contest. Every post, every posted review, is its own entry to the contest. (Yes, cross-posting the same review on two sites is two entries!) Then we'll do a randomized drawing to select a handful of winners in each category to receive the original sketches. Remember, if you write a review, reach out to me so that I know about it and have your contact info!

Special thanks again to everyone who has bought a copy of PLAZA already. The book would not have happened without you!
Second off, issue two of Carson Grubaugh’s groundbreaking miniseries The Abolition of Man is now available at your local comic store for preorder, using order code SEP221799.

Departing from the first issue, the next two installments dive deep into a future dystopia where human’s most treasured passions have lost all purpose. This is a sometimes funny, sometimes disturbing, sometimes beautiful peek at the world of the future, and we hope you’ll preorder a copy or three to ensure your local comic store will order it!
JIM WOODRING - Interview, One Beautiful Spring Day, aesthetics, and more!
Lastly, it’s always a blast to interview cartoonists, but this one was really special for us. Last week we got to talk to the one, the only, Jim Woodring, on the occasion of the release of his magnum opus One Beautiful Spring Day. We hope that you enjoy!

Have a great weekend everyone!

All the best,
Sean Robinson
*I assume. I mean, why WOULDN'T he reward you for REAL GOOD SCANS of dem titties?
Maybe he'll get you dem titties on a yoga mat, so your downward facing dog will let you stare at dem titties... I dunno. I'm just speculating.... 'bout titties.

Good, this gives me time to save up for the Wavery "The Last Day" hardcover with the bonus scratch & sniff "Cerebus' last fart" card. Mmm, cheesy.
