Strange things are afoot at the Postcard Kickstarter...

Hi, Everybody!

So,
There's a Indiegogo live if you missed the Kickstarter for the birthday card.

The remastered Volume 1, digitally for $9.99.
And now for something completely... similar:

Over at the Postcard Kickstarter, Superman's Frenemy: David Birdsong posted:
Behind The Scenes Dirt!
Posted by David Birdsong (Collaborator) [He SAYS there are no partisans, but we're not buying that, are we comrades? -Matt]
In the interests of full disclosure we are offering a few behind the scenes, transcontinental fax, internet and slightly misquoted exchanges over the first two weeks of this current campaign.  If the persons involved are not quoted exactly please be aware these are transcriptions of 20th Century technology from Kitchener, Ontario, internet connections powered by coal, solar panel and bicycle crank in Moonbeam, California, Armpit, Ohio and Backwater, Tennessee as well as unreliable connections to The Infernal Realms:
BH:  ...sell 20,000 bricks we can get the price down to $10 a brick!
DVS:  You see what having to subsist on a single can of cat food for a week can do to a man?  20,000 postcards?  Doesn't he realize that this is Dave Sim and CEREBUS he is talking about?  Oh the humanity!
DB:  Cat food?!?  I'm fighting squirrels for hickory nuts down here!
SMR:  A program like that would require the support of maybe one tenth of one percent of the entire comic-book field!  Online influencers!  Well-known professionals Dave Sim has helped or whose work was improved by reading his work!  Comic-store owners!  Convention organizers!  Movie and television people!  You know, everyone 1) who won't even say Dave Sim's name out loud in public without an expletive in front of it and 2) everyone who just smiles at the expletive.  We feel your pain, Benjamin, but... GET A GRIP, man!"
DB:  Until Dave's dead and then for 24 hours they'll talk about how much they admired him and his work.  Maybe this should be viewed as a WHEN DAVE SIM DIES lottery win thing that we can monetize out the whazoo.  Get it all ready and then go "BRICK LIVE" the second he croaks.
BH:  THE GENIUS OF MY BRICK THEORY WILL CARRY THE DAY! YOU JUST WAIT AND SEE!  YOU JUST WAIT!
***
CEREBUS:  What's Cerebus cut of this postcard thing?
SMR:  Ummm...
BH:  Uh...
DB:  I'm not sure they have PayPal in Hell, but I think Dave will hold on to your share for you.
CEREBUS:  Sim!?!  Great!  Cerebus will never see a dime!
DVS:  Oh, I can get you a dime.  Where do I send it?
CEREBUS:  Uhhhh...
***
DVS:  ...half way point and I can't complain too much.
CEREBUS:  Cerebus can think of a few things.
DVS:  The LCS poster looks good.  Are there any more on the way?
DB:  There haven't been any more requests, yet.
BH:  Maybe they're afraid you'll misspell their name.
DB:  Hey! it was right on the poster!
SMR:  He also misspelled Michael Ragiel's name.
DVS:  Oy!
CEREBUS:  What?!?
DB:  It was the auto-correct!  I swear!  And... and the "l" at the end of "Ragiel" was missing in the message I saw!
BH:  He called JAF Comics "LAF" Comics.  How do you make a mistake like that?
CEREBUS:  WHAT DID CEREBUS TELL YOU WAS GOING TO HAPPEN IF YOU KEPT MAKING MISTAKES!
DB:  No!  NO!  Please!  PLEEEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEEasEEEEEEEEEE!
CEREBUS:  Hold STILL!  Let's get this over with!
David then posted an exclusive Cerebus in Hell? strip. If you wanna see it, maybe you should buy a postcard?

And speaking of Michael Ragiel, he sent in the following:
Hi Matt!
Enclosed  are a few photos taken At JAF Comics today. I took up David Birdsong's offer of getting a FREE poster to my LCS.
It was pretty easy. Through Sean Robinson I  got in contact with David Birdsong. He sent me the file of the poster with JAF comics on it. I went to www.staples@printme.com, went to "documents printing", picked "buy", added my file, selected "media" and picked my size (11X17) and stock (24lb), added it to my cart and went to check out and paid my 65 cents. I picked it up the next day and went to JAF Comics.
I met John the owner of JAF Comics and told him what I had done. He did receive my emails, so he sort of had a heads up with what was going on. I snapped a couple of photos. He proudly displayed the poster. Now the rest is up to his customers if they'd be interested in purchasing the latest Cerebus In Hell?.
Michael
PS--- They'll be a second email with a panoramic photo of JAF Comics.
PPS--- The photo of my finger pointing to a photocopied B/W print is a page that was personalized by Dave to me mentioning JAF comics. I made a copy and gave to the shop for display. The page is CIH? The Iron Manticore issue which I outbid everyone on eBay.
Michael and John. (BFFs...)

There's the stuff!

Alright, Everybody, send in YOUR comic shop Cerebus in Hell? Poster pics. (Hint. Hint.)

Next Time: Dave's religious views, but I finished Cerebus Vol. 1, so expect a couple of Cerebus Year Three posts on Monday and Tuesday...

65¢ for an 11x17 poster? The only deal better than that is a $6 @#$%ing Flimsy Postcard From Hell.

Yay JAF Comics, the greenest comic store in Pennsylvania.
