Hi, Everybody!
If you got a couple of extra bucks and want to do a fellow Cerebus fan a solid, frequent commentator Mike Battaglia has a go fund me here.
The Green Dante/Green Virgil cover auction is still at $1277.00 US Dollars from: 高伯乐 (Gao BoLe)! If you want in on this action, just comment on this post, or e-mail momentofcerebus@gmail.com
Friend to the Blog, and the guy who can perform the Corbomite Maneuver while encased in Carbonite: Steve Peters has another Kickstarter going. (I have a joke in one panel.)
The remastered Volume 1 is available digitally for $9.99.
The second Postcard From Hell Kickstarter is up.
Speaking of which...
Over in the comments on the Kickstarter, Dave showed up:
Thanks to Your Pal and Mine: Sean Robinson for sending me the tip. About the Kickstarter. (Get your mind out of the gutter!)
Next Time: Hobbs. And I'm okay with that...

Since there's still a few Cerebus In Hell? contributors I guess, who haven't yet had time to catch us up to date, I decided to chime in myself and see if I can match Matt's forthcoming Yellow Kid Awards for David Wayne Johnson, when he uses his yellow highlighter and pictures to show him what he's wrong about now. I can already tell you Matt's going to win, but hold the phone a minute for David Wayne Johnson!
Why? Just on a whim, I went back on here and found his email, and asked him about this so called project with David Birdsong. You've got to hear this. This guy ceases to amaze me. Apparently, he calls it a stand alone solo issue called The Strange Strange Death Of Jesus Christ. It's about Johannine Cerebus.
Who's Johannine Cerebus? David says it's,"...the real living pen and ink drawing of Cerebus, from The 2nd (universe) There's 5 of them. Kind of like Crisis On Infinite Earths), where all the comic book characters that have ever been created, once lived at until Super Max (Of CerebusTV) freed them from an ancient proto Elamite YHWH tablet, that had been buried under Dave Sim's old off white house location, before Alberta Oil Company bought the land for $95 million dollars, and Dave moved the house to Hollywood before dying and going to heaven."
Those are David's actual words. He explained YHWH had trapped them in the tablet, and afterwards later, based on the copyrights he broke with God's comic book characters, influenced all of our comic book creators to do the comic books that they created, to turn the whole world into feminists.
Here's the best part! David says, he sent David two notebooks, with a combined number of 144 8"×11" full sized pages of drawn comic strips thumbnails, for every panel of every strip in the 22 pg. story. Johannine Cerebus' powers, seem to be a cross between Quantum Leap and Superman. He leaps back and forth between moments in the Bible, while trying to save Cerebus (Who David calls Synoptic Cerebus) at the end.
I actually kind of more liked David's mention of his old comic strips, that he use to send Dave, and which Dave showed us the text of them in #300, which this story's loosly based on he says. I actually thought some of them were funny. Now, he's all about God. I don't think Dave will include this in Cerebus In Hell?, and from David Birdsong's silence, I think he's quitely bowed out.
But, David Birdsong, PLEASE tell me you're gonna put up those notebooks for auction or something! I need a good laugh. It doesn't quite seem what I said I wanted, when talking about your art recently of the rats, but Johannine Cerebus, Synoptic Cerebus, YHWH, and time travel's just too good to pass up.
And, Damian even said he'd buy it! You should put that on the cover. I'll buy it too! Look, I'll bid $5.00 for those notebooks right now, and the published issue, or just the notebooks. I'm not knocking the guy, but 144 pgs.? Oh my, I think we're all writing a little bit too overboard lately. I usually only say a line or two. I hope David Wayne Johnson isn't contagious. His email by the way, was only two pages, and he promises future letters to Dave will likewise be short. So, hold for the yellow marker still, and Godwilling, may the best person get the notebooks.
Damian? You green-brown-colored young horse is not fooling anyone. Your words, sentiments, and bile betray you, as they always will do.
Damian has been silent too the last day or two. I wouldn't be hard on him either. His comments here the last two days or so before that, were also nice. He answered questions. He didn't complain about Dave. And, he was honest. I wander what an issue of Cerebus In Hell by him would be like.
