MARGARET LISS:
A few years ago I scanned all of Dave Sim's notebooks. He had filled 36 notebooks during the years he created the monthly Cerebus series, covering issues #20 to 300, plus the other side items -- like the Epic stories, posters and prints, convention speeches etc. A total of 3,281 notebook pages detailing his creative process. I never really got the time to study the notebooks when I had them. Just did a quick look, scanned them in and sent them back to Dave as soon as possible. So this regular column is a chance for me to look through those scans and highlight some of the more interesting pages.
Last October in Fascination & Fruition is when we saw Dave Sim's Cerebus notebook #8. It covers Cerebus issues #70 through 79 and had 86 pages scanned.
One page 51 we get an overview of issues 75 through 79 and for some reason Dave wrote down "issue three hundred". Looking at the issue summaries for 75 through 79, it appears that a couple points were written with a different pen. Perhaps written at a different time than the other points.

I'm the kid from the milk carton. A really nice lady found me a while back, and returned me.
No. JK.
"Hello, hello, hello ... is there anybody *out* there? Is there anyone at all?"
What? Are you *all* on vacation at the same damn time?!?
And, here, we used to have such nice playtimes.
Sigh. Well, enjoy the Jersey shore.
You’re only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can’t hear what you’re saying.
