Hi, Everybody!
Heeeeeere's
That's right, THE NEW ONE: CEREBUS IN HELL? PREVIEW 2021
The COVER:
Click for bigger, so you can try to read all them covers... |
I wasn't consulted on this. Batvark should REALLY be wearing them as earrings... |
Speaking of Batvark's wang, Ben Hobbs is eBaying a Virgin cover. And lot of you gonna be VERY disappointed when you try to snipe each other in two days and twenty-some hours...
HERMANN #1 has gotten FOCed.
Next week (the 28th), pick up the Vault of Cerebus.
Next month, pick up Spider-Whore.
Signed copies of Vark Wars: Walt's Empire Strikes Back (Signed by Dave, Signed by Dave and me, Signed by me after I scribble out Dave's name, Pretty much available Signed only...). If you've emailed me about it and haven't heard back, it's because I'm a lazy prick and haven't gotten around to taking care of that. I'ma do that this weekend...for REALZ this time...
Hi everyone, today's update starts with the addition of the set of 4 cover posters signed by Dave Sim, available as add-on's. Several of you requested these, now you can add them to your pledge!
Next is a note from Dave himself!
Here we are, marking with SPAWN 10 REMASTERED, the end of the first week of the most successful CEREBUS Kickstarter ever. In just seven days -- with the outstanding generosity of our latest pledged backers -- we've eclipsed the revenue totals of all but the first Kickstarter in 2012 (which had been also based in North Carolina and run by long-time CEREBUS fan and CEREBUS TV contributor, John Scrudder) which generated total revenues of $62,000. We seem to be, God willing, on track for surpassing that total -- which has always been orders of magnitude greater than our subsequent efforts -- before too much longer.
I'd like to thank Dagon James of THE WAVERLY PRESS for all his hard work on this, our second CEREBUS Kickstarter. we learned a lot from the CEREBUS #1 KS and continue to learn -- day in and day out -- the best ways to keep long-time and new CEREBUS fans happy and looking forward to receiving their pledge rewards in a timely manner. I'd also like to thank Todd McFarlane for being a Stand-Up Guy when it counted, his team for all their help, and SPAWN, whose long, long cape turned out not to have ended at 500 yards but which, very much the contrary, has ended up spanning nearly three decades and providing the metaphorical and metaphysical coattails we're riding here In October/November 2020. May it be ever thus.
And, of course, I'd like to thank our unfailingly generous pledge partners who are always there for CEREBUS and for me.
I'm marking this great victory for my 44-year-old intellectual property (now more than twice as old as I was when I created him in January of 1976) as I mark all of my professional victories and professional setbacks: with prayer and fasting, working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. They can kill you, but they can't eat you.
May God bless the worldwide CEREBUS community.
Onward and, God willing, upward.
Dave Sim

AND:
Here is the first look at the Ashcan trading card, it's a stunner!
It's also a rare one as we printed very few.
AND:
The Ashcan books should be printed and in Dave's hands tomorrow for signing.
I expect to receive them over the weekend and start shipping on Monday (hopefully).
ANNNNNNDDDD:
The stretch goals got updated:
I don't care what they say, 95K is a banana damnit! |
Check out the new Cerebus masks and whatnots. PENIS and XXXXX added. (I'm not adding the Second Print cover unless there is actual demand.)
As you all know, Wilf Jenkins was the Aardvark/Vanaheim lawyer for years, and during that time he was on the comp list. Wilf saved all his copies. Dave and Wilf have signed them, and there's a certificate of authenticity. The books will be available from Looking For Heroes, for $10 (CAD) plus $4 dollars shipping to Canada and $5 dollars shipping to the USA. All the money goes to the Food Bank of the Waterloo Region.
Next Time: Stuff. Stuff about Cerebus. Totally.

What means "FOCed", if it can be told? Ms. Google is no help here. Thanks!

Damian,
"Final Order Cut-off-ed"
That means you can't order anymore, because they're tallying up to see how many are getting printed.
Rhymes with cocked.
Manly
Aha! Thanks. Y'learn somethin' new every day -- if yer lucky.
