1988 movie Willow now officially a go as a series. Willow is to Cerebus what Star Wars is to Flash Gorden?

Both Sim and Lucas went against convention and changed the world in their respective ways in 1977 - if they had gotten together our reality wouldn't be fractured and Cerebus would have gotten the accolades in 1988 instead of Roger Rabbit...and 2020 would have been a beautiful year:). I realize now why i have been put on this earth - I must get Lucas involved with the Cerebus film before it's too late. I must restore the space-time continuum - the world depends on it!

Space Vark

I saw this on Sean's FB page. Sean who does the remastering of the Cerebus phonebooks and every other aspect of all things Aardvark Vanaheim:
Want a special gift for a friend or loved one for this holiday season? I have some unbooked time in the next few weeks to paint a custom portrait for YOU. Send me a message with what you're looking for, what size, and I'll get you a quote! I price these out by the hour, so the more complicated the image you'd like, the more expensive it would be.
[Interested parties can contact Sean at: Seanmichaelrobinson@gmail.com -Matt]

Eolake Stobblehouse: I got my stuff from the You Don't Know Jack sale. And a little extra for my past services to humanity; thank you to Sean and Carson.
It's beautiful work.
I wonder how the idea came about to have a long conversation between a night sky and and a young female comic book manager? It does not seem to me to be the *most* obvious idea for a comic book...
I wish Jack ran my local store though, I think I'd come around more often.

In the comments: Sean Michael Robinson:
The book was Carson's idea initially, and developed (and mostly written) by Dave, with Carson, Jack, and I all chipping in as well, Jack's contribution's being all of the excerpted texts and reading the various drafts. When everyone has received their packages we'll send out the digital bonus materials, where you can read all of Dave's scripts and layouts as well. Gives a better idea of whom did what.
I think the starfield thing was Dave's idea but I'm not 100 percent!
Thanks for the kind words Eolake.

Brian Payne: These are pages 6 - 7 from "Roarin' Rick's Rarebit Fiends #8." And, yes, Gerhard did indeed have a hand in recreating this particular dream.

[As is policy with Gerhard art, click for bigger -Matt]

Lee Bentley: I've been a comic book fan for most of my life, and in particular I used to enjoy the frission I'd get from the best horror comics, such as Warren's Eerie, Creepy, Vampirella and of course the classic ECs. Well, Dave Sim is one of the few non-horror creators to give me that sudden cold shock goosebumps sensation, such as the first time I saw this panel here.

Margaret Liss in the comments: If you like that panel, how about the notebook page where it first appeared? http://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com/2015/09/endgame.html
And Cirin's first appearance in Dave's notebooks: https://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com/2015/01/odds-and-ends.html

Margaret Liss: Look what popped up on eBay (not my auction, just cool):

And i missed these pics posted in the comments by Margaret Liss last week as i was trying to catch up midnight Saturday. And even if they have all been posted before as a fan of the Muppets and Cerebus they can not be posted too often I say

Raymond Mountford in the comments as well: Shot for shot remake of Flat Beat, replacing Flat Eric with Cerebus and backgrounds with places from the book, is really the only way to go imho...also, my hand is up

Thanks Oliver!

Speaking of Batvark's wang, Ben Hobbs is eBaying a Virgin cover. One day left. And somebody's taken the plunge...

HERMANN #1 has gotten FOCed. ("Final Order Cut-off"ed. That means you have to wait until December and hope your LCS has a copy...)

Next week (the 28th), pick up the Vault of Cerebus

Next month, pick up Spider-Whore.

Signed copies of Vark Wars: Walt's Empire Strikes Back (Signed by Dave, Signed by Dave and me, Signed by me after I scribble out Dave's name, Pretty much available Signed only...).

Check out the new Cerebus masks and whatnots. PENIS and XXXXX added.

As you all know, Wilf Jenkins was the Aardvark/Vanaheim lawyer for years, and during that time he was on the comp list. Wilf saved all his copies. Dave and Wilf have signed them, and there's a certificate of authenticity. The books will be available from Looking For Heroes, for $10 (CAD) plus $4 dollars shipping to Canada and $5 dollars shipping to the USA. All the money goes to the Food Bank of the Waterloo Region.

Next Time: Reviewing the reviewers?
