Thank you for a stellar first week of our Cerebus No. 2 campaign!
A few updates...
1. Dave Sim has made several one of a kind, hand drawn trading cards which we are posting one at a time, every couple of days. As you may be aware, Dave doesn't make very much new art these days, so these are a real treat for those who would like to add an original piece of Cerebus art to their collections. These are available as an add-on option.
2. The first stretch reward will unlock at 25k. When we reach this goal, every backer at every level will receive a new Cerebus trading card, unique to Kickstarter. We will post the actual card art soon.
3. We are offering a new add-on which is a set of 5 advance proofs of Cerebus No. 2 (see below), each book has one of Dave's new covers printed in black and white, unlike the final production books which will have full color covers. Additionaly, each proof book will be hand signed and numbered by Dave Sim. Only 20 sets of all 5 versions are being made available for backers. Note: Since these are advance proofs, the interior content will differ slightly from the final printed books!
The set of 5 advance proof books, each hand signed and numbered by Dave Sim!
Thank you again for your support and keep an eye on the page over the next two weeks for some surprises and additional stretch rewards!

Strange Death of Alex Raymond Update:
Unfathomable
Dear Backers,
I just got the worst possible news. Absolutely unfathomable news.
My mother and father both received misprinted copies of SDOAR that they had pre-ordered from Amazon. There also appear to be instances of fans receiving their Amazon pre-orders, despite the fact that Amazon's "Delivered Today" message in my mother's account lists the book as not being released until December 14th.
I have no idea how this happened. I have yet to hear from Sean but do know he is aware of the situation and I am sure is now having a mental meltdown and searching the phone books for good lawyers.
It wrecks me that you all are not the first ones to have received copies. That was always the plan.
I figured this supremely disappointing news should be shared asap to stop the impression that proper copies have been printed and you are just being denied yours. No proper printing exits yet, but apparently the market is now flooded with thousands of the misprints. Carson
Can you give the details of what was misprinted? I got an amazon pre-order and would like to know if the error is serious enough that I'd be motivated to return it or if it's just a few typos or something relatively minor like that.

Wow, Dave is just dumb as mud. "No reason Dave can understand" is not the same as "no reason anyone can understand".

Thank you for sharing, Matt. The larger the signal boost the better.
I've been trying to ride herd, but Twitter.
Kurt Busier (yeah, THAT one) got his copy, and I'm hoping by saying something on HIS Twitter, the signal goes further.
What should Amazon customers do?

JesseM: four pages at the end (somewhere in the 250s I believe) have no blue ink. So it's just a couple of black figures in a big white space.
If you haven't gotten the book yet, you won't until December, and it will be a correct printing then.

Fascinating stuff about the Russian publication! Keep it coming.
The tide comes in and it goes out. It always comes in, and always goes out. You can't explain that.
In his June 30,2021 letter Dave seems to be commiting the naturalistic
fallacy.
