BREATHESHIELD™ Just exactly as it sounds. Rolled out over the existing (mostly) dead and (some still) dying shingles from ca. 1993 and stapled (I thought) to them. "A stapler isn't going to work, I don't think. Can't you use something more SOLID?  Relax, Grampaw. It's the 21st century.  2-inch roofing nails in cartridges loaded into pneumatic hammers.  Hundreds of pounds of pressure per square inch with a hair-trigger. Virtually silent Blah blah blah.  Isn't it time for your, you know, NAP or something?  

Seemingly 20 minutes later, the guys -- seen from the Archive Room through Scotty Rotten's stained glass based on Gerhard's drawing on page 33 of READS (I could have sworn that Gerhard got it from the WILLIAM MORRIS book, but it's not in there nor is it in any of the ART NOUVEAU books on the studio bookshelf: Since Scott was working from a b&w drawing his colour is…idiosyncratic…compared to wherever-it-is-Gerhard found his --  take a break having gotten virtually all of the wood framing done on the lower roof.

Still on break

I had all weekend to wonder "IS there enough raw materials there for the upper roof AND Camp David?"  Yes, with a bunch left over.  "Do I have to get Rolly to do something with the leftovers? Or is ECO-METAL going to take care of it?"  ECO-METAL will take care of it.  Jeez, CHILL, Grampaw.

The finished steel roof December 1, 2021 with Camp David over yonder.
